Mikael Kaaber is an Icelandic actor known for As long as we live, Cold and Luther and the fallen sun
He started studying drama at Iceland University of the Arts in autumn 2021
Mikael started acting when he was 6-year-old and played the part of the grandson in the Icelandic hit show "Sitji Guðs Englar" in the Icelandic National Theatre. He performed over 55 times for a full auditorium. After that, there was no turning back. When he turned 10 he went straight to the City Theatre's acting academy and studied there for four years.
Through the college years, Mikael took part in a lot of big school plays and musicals. In 2017 he got awarded for his performance as Brian in the hit play The Breakfast Club, on the annual College Theatre Awards for Best performance in a leading role and as The 2017 shooting star.
After graduation, he wrote in collaboration with other young artists, commercial hit show Fyrsta Skiptið. It toured the country and was televised on Sjónvarp Símans in 2020. The play was on the national newspapers shortlist as the Best Play Of The Year.
Mikael has been praised by critics and fans for his performances in theatre, television, and films.
