According to reports, director Binu S, who made Ithihasa, would direct the sequel too, and Indrajith Sukumaran would play the lead role. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be revealed. Ithihasa had been the first directorial of Binu, and he brought with him a bunch of new actors in the cast.  The film was a fantasy comedy, that seemed to be an adaptation of the 2002 Hollywood film The Hot Chick. In place of  a teenage girl and criminal in the English film, the Malayalam movie revolved around a female software engineer and a petty thief.
