Actor-singer Shannon K, who is the daughter of veteran singer Kumar Sanu, paid a soul-stirring tribute to the late legendary composer Bappi Lahiri by recreating ‘Jimmy Jimmy’ from the 1982 movie ‘Disco Dancer’.

Shannon, who has collaborated with Bappa Lahiri, son of Bappi Lahiri, for the track, said: “When I met Bappi uncle on his birthday, he promised to call me soon for a song recording. Unfortunately, he fell ill shortly after, leaving us all in shock.”

Turning grief into a tribute, Shannon K collaborated with Bappa to honour Bappi Lahiri through ‘Jimmy Jimmy’ remake.

“Recording this song and filming the music video was an incredible experience. ‘Jimmy Jimmy’ has always been one of my favourite songs of Bappi, and to pay homage to him through this project is truly special,” she added.

She attended the premiere of ‘Indiana Jones & The Dial Of Destiny’ and was the only Indian alongside Aishwarya Rai invited for the premiere of the movie.

Mumbai, April 3 (Ians) Shannon K, the daughter of the veteran playback singer Kumar Sanu is set to make her Hindi film debut with the upcoming film ‘Chal Zindagi’, the first look poster of which was launched on Monday.

The film also stars Vivek Dahiya, Sanjay Mishra, Mita Vashist, Vivaan Sharma and Vikram Singh in prominent roles.

The story of the film revolves around four main protagonists – Sana who is a music student from America, Sahil who is a college student, Sadanand who is a retired government employee, and 10-year-old folk artist Vivaan. One day all of them start their journeys from different cities on Harley Davidson bikes to the highest motorable road in the world in Leh-Ladakh.

Shannon has also sung a song with her father for the film. Talking about the film, Shannon said: “While being busy in my singing career in America, I always dreamt of working in a Bollywood movie.
