Gery Riba is a writer/director and singer/songwriter from Hungary. He earned his first degree in Liberal Arts and Philosophy from Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Hungary. Gery's first foray into filmmaking was directing music videos. He has lived in the USA, Norway, and the UK. He later earned a Master's degree in film directing from the Hungarian University of Film and Theatre (SZFE). He partly composes the music for his films himself. He is a uniquely versatile director of his generation, often working with non-professional actors in his films and blending them with well-known, trained actors.
