Chennai, Oct 13 (Ians) The 2nd season of Sardar Patel National Divyang T20 Cup — a national-level cricket tournament for the differently-abled, will be organized by Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (Dcci) from October 31 at Lucknow.

The teaser along with the mascot, tagline and hashtag of the event, sponsored by Indian Bank, was released on Tuesday by S.L Jain, MD & CEO, Indian Bank in the presence of Executive Directors of the bank, Imran Amin Siddiqui and Ashwani Kumar.

The eight-day spectacle will be played at Ekana International Cricket Stadium, Lucknow to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel which is also observed as National Unity Day.

New Delhi, March 24 (Ians) When the Indian women team's batter, Shafali Verma, was entering her teens, her father would take her and her older brother to a ground near their house and engage in a competition that would see the three bat for a reward of Rs.5 or sometimes Rs.10.

Shafali, who won Player of the Series award in the T20I series against South Africa on Tuesday despite India losing the series, played some scintillating knocks in the series. She hammered a 30-ball 60 on Tuesday night to lead India to a consolation win.

Mumbai, Dec 5 (Ians) Bollywood actor Rahul Roy, who suffered a brain stroke last week, is recovering. The 52-year-old actor, who is currently hospitalised, has reportedly started walking and is also doing physio excercises.

"Rahul has started eating. He is on a light diet to begin with. There is a small clot that is still there. It will be dissolved with thinners. Of course, the entire process will take time but so far so good," the actor's friend, producer Ashwani Kumar, told E Times.

In the last week of November, Roy suffered brain stroke while shooting for his forthcoming film "Lac: Live The Battle" in Kargil. The actor, who shot to overnight stardom with his debut film "Aashiqui" in 1990, was initially rushed from Kargil to Srinagar and then to Mumbai, where he is presently undergoing treatment at Nanavati Hospital.
