Disney Plus Buys ‘The Hardy Boys’ for International (Exclusive)
Image
Disney Plus has swooped on the international rights for “The Hardy Boys.”

The mystery series, which airs on Hulu in the U.S. and Ytv and StackTV in Canada, was sold by Corus Entertainment-backed producer-distributor Nelvana to Disney Plus in select international markets, and will land on Star.

Star is the sixth, adult-oriented tile on Disney Plus that launched earlier this year, and which serves as a home for much of the Hulu catalogue outside the U.S. The one territory where “The Hardy Boys” will remain on Disney Plus is Latin America.

Both season 1 (13 x 60′) and season 2 (10 x 60′) of the Daytime Emmy-nominated show — which was developed and produced in Canada by Nelvana and Lambur Productions, in association with Corus Entertainment — will debut on the Mouse House platform in 2022.

“The Hardy Boys” is based on the books by Franklin W. Dixon and features the principal characters in their teen years.

‘A Million Little Things’ Boss: The Maggie-Gary-Darcy Love Triangle Gets More Complicated
Image
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the A Million Little Things Season 4 premiere “Family First.”] A Million Little Things has our attention: Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) wasn’t the only one there the night Peter (Andrew Leeds) was attacked and beaten “pretty badly.” (He might not make it.) The final scene of the premiere flashed back to what happened after Gary dragged Peter into his own house. Christopher Gregory (Michael Weston), presumably because of the role he feels the music teacher played in his daughter’s suicide (she was one of the girls Peter assaulted), joined them in the studio. So what did Gary actually do and what did he maybe just instigate? And why was there a significant amount of blood on his arm when he got home that night? Also in the premiere: Rome (Romany Malco) and Regina (Christina Moses) reluctantly send Tyrell (Adam Swain) to visit his mom, but he leaves a video promising...

‘A Million Little Things’ Boss Warns What Happened With Gary & Peter Is ‘Not Ok’
Image
When we last saw the Boston gang at the center of this ensemble tearjerker, usually genial actuary Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) was paying a rage-fueled visit to the music teacher (Andrew Leeds) who was sexually inappropriate with his late bud’s daughter Sophie (Lizzy Greene). As Gary threw a sack over the predator’s head, our jaws hit the floor. A Million Little Things showrunner DJ Nash promises that we’ll find out early in Season 4 what happened after the camera cut away. “It’s not Ok,” he adds ominously. As for Gary’s friends, Nash offers that Regina (Christina Moses) will “humorously back into” a new gig following the demise of her restaurant, while she and hubby Rome (Romany Malco) adjust to life as parents of foster teen Tyrell (Adam Swain). Additionally, the matter of whether widow Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) moves her family to France will be resolved in the opener,...
