Fogelman is taking the lead behind-the-scenes, while Brown does so onscreen. And, hey. Maybe you're interested in checking it out but don't have Hulu and you'd rather not commit to it before knowing if the new series is worth the watch. Well, there's some good news for you.

Variety reports that the first episode of Paradise will air Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025 at 10 p.m. Et on ABC, as well as Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 at 10 p.m. Et on FX. And so, there's two chances on two channels for you to tune in to the upcoming show. Both of these channels, as well as Hulu, are Disney-owned. So it makes sense that the episode is able to be broadcast on all three platforms.

Still, it is so much more than that. Paradise, Sterling K. Brown's new political thriller coming to Hulu, will be getting a major push by Disney. It will premiere first on Hulu on Jan. 28, 2025, followed by ABC and FX, per Variety. The show was created by Dan Fogelman, who was behind the hit This Is Us, which also starred Brown.

Brown plays a Secret Service agent named Xavier Collins, who is tasked with protecting President Cal Bradford, played by James Mardsen (X-Men), who is found murdered. Since he was the last person to see Bradford alive, and discovered the body, he becomes a prime suspect in the assassination. But as the first trailer showed, there is far more happening than just a Secret Service agent protecting a President.

Disney is throwing the full weight of its portfolio of platforms behind Sterling K. Brown and “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman’s new Hulu series “Paradise” by giving the political thriller a linear launch on ABC and FX, as well.

The new series, which marks Brown’s splashy return as a TV series regular following the end of Fogelman’s hit NBC family drama in 2022, will debut its first three episodes on Hulu on Jan. 28. Then the first episode only will be broadcast on ABC on Jan. 29 at 10 p.m., followed by an airing on FX on Feb. 1 at 10 p.m.

From there, the eight-episode first season of “Paradise” will continue to roll out its new episodes weekly on Hulu.

This sampling method for the “Paradise” premiere is an unprecedented one for Disney, which has never before offered up the first episode of a new streaming series at this scale at launch.
