Supernatural: 5 Supporting Characters We Want To See Return (& 5 We Don't)
Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki in Supernatural (2005)
The CW cult fantasy show, Supernatural, is scheduled to release its final few episodes in October 2020. The series has had an epic run of 15 years with a variety of actors who have appeared in recurring or supporting roles over the years.

Now that Supernatural literally has a handful of episodes left until curtain call, it's time to look at some of the other characters fans have absolutely loved and would be happy to see one last time. The 15th season has already brought back a few familiar faces like Kevin Tran, Eileen, Garth, and Jody Mills. But there are so many others who have been an integral part of Sam, Dean, and Castiel's journey, and whom it would be great to see for one final time as the whole armageddon with God goes down.

Supernatural: 10 Ways The Prophets Got Worse And Worse
Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki in Supernatural (2005)
The first prophet that was introduced in Supernatural was Chuck in season four. Sam and Dean find out he wrote a series of books that chronicles the events of their lives. Archangel Zachariah shows up and tells them that, one day, Chuck’s books will be “the gospel of Winchester.” Chuck relieves visions that give him debilitating headaches, and then he uses the visions to write stories. He isn’t the only prophet, though.

In season seven, Kevin Tran is introduced, and his power as a prophet stems from being able to read the word of God from a tablet written by Metatron. Later, Crowley kidnaps future prophets, and, in season 11, Donatello is introduced. Chuck turns out to be a vengeful God. From the moment Sam and Dean meet him, the prophets are worse and worse.

Crisis on Infinite Earths Adds New Atom, Birds of Prey Huntress
Jim Dandy Sep 27, 2019

A new Atom and a new show are on tap for the Crisis multiverse

The onset of autumn means several things: leaves changing, pumpkin spice everything, and a new show from the DC TV back catalogue being welded to the Arrowverse in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

The latest show to be hammered in is Birds of Prey, the 2002 one season wonder from the old WB. Ashley Scott returns as Helena Kyle, the Huntress of that show, for Crisis. Birds of Prey starred Scott as Huntress, Dina Meyer as Batgirl, and Batwoman’s Rachel Skarsten as Black Canary.

They’ll be joined by Osric Chau. Chau will not be linking his old show, Supernatural, to the crossover, though. Instead, he’s going to be playing Ryan Choi, a character who has not yet appeared in any live action DC TV show on any network. Choi is a mild-mannered professor at Ivy Town University.

‘Supernatural’s Osric Chau Enters Arrowverse For ‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’ Crossover
Osric Chau
Actor Osric Chau is going from Supernatural to superhero. The alum of the CW’s longest-running sci-fi/genre series on broadcast television is set to join the Arrowverse for the forthcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” five-part crossover event, Deadline has confirmed.

Chau will recur as Ryan Choi, who is described as a physics professor at Ivy Town University. He is just a normal guy who comes to learn that he has a pivotal role to play in the coming crisis. The buzz is that he will be suiting up and shrinking down as the new Atom considering Choi takes that torch from Ray Palmer in the comics.

The news comes after Deadline exclusively broke the news that Brandon Routh, who plays Ray Palmer aka Atom, would be leaving during the fifth season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. It was also announced that Courtney Ford, who portrays Nora Darhk, would be exiting as well.

Supernatural: What You Missed if You Stopped Watching 10 Seasons Ago
Juliette Harrisson Sep 17, 2019

If you're a Supernatural fan who jumped ship when Eric Kripke left and want to come back for the final season, we're here to help...

This article comes from Den of Geek UK.

This article contains major spoilers for Supernatural.

Supernatural creator Eric Kripke had planned on a five-year run for his show. Ratings were always decent but not sky-high and at times it looked like they wouldn’t make it. But the series kept on going, and although season three was shortened by a writers’ strike, it made it to its season five finale, a grand, climactic send-off for the show that wrapped up all of its on-going storylines and sent our heroes off to their eternal fate.

And then – it kept going.

And going.

And going.

There have been times when Supernatural seemed to be the televisual equivalent of the undead monsters it features, a series that couldn’t die.
