Billy Bush Claims He Flagged Donald Trump’s Lewd ‘Access Hollywood’ Comments to His Producer in 2005
Image
Billy Bush brought up Donald Trump’s infamous Access Hollywood tape during a new interview with Rob Lowe on the actor’s SiriusXM podcast Literally! With Rob Lowe, revealing that he flagged the president’s lewd comments to a superior more than a decade before the scandal broke.

“The day of the filming in 2005, I called my producer [and] said, ‘You’re not gonna believe what Trump said. He is going after Nancy.’ All I said was ‘Nancy O’Dell’ because I didn’t hear the other stuff,” Bush told Lowe, referencing his Access Hollywood colleague O’Dell. The “other stuff” seemingly refers to Trump’s comments about grabbing women by the genitals. “I said, ‘He’s trying to take Nancy furniture shopping to sleep with her. This is crazy. He’s done it again! The guy’s an animal!’ I report it, basically, to my superior, but it sits in a desk forever because…...

Paramount Global CFO Naveen Chopra Exits to Join Roblox
Image
Paramount Global chief financial officer Naveen Chopra is exiting his post at the media company to join gaming platform company Roblox as CFO.

Following Chopra’s departure from Paramount, Andrew Warren — who currently serves as strategic adviser to the office of the CEO and is himself the former CFO of Discovery Communications — will assume the additional role of executive VP and interim CFO at Paramount. The CFO shuffle at Paramount comes as its $8 billion merger deal with Skydance Media is currently in limbo, pending FCC approval.

Per an SEC filing Monday by Paramount, Chopra notified the company of his decision to resign from his position effective June 27.

Chopra will join Roblox as CFO, effective June 30, 2025, the gaming company announced. “Naveen’s experience as CFO at leading companies equips him with invaluable financial and strategic acumen to foster Roblox’s growth,” Roblox CEO and co-founder David Baszucki said in a statement.

Roblox introduces regional pricing to unlock creator revenue around the world
Image
Roblox is a worldwide phenomenon, and its newest feature encourages more interconnectedness among that global community. By utilizing a Regional Pricing tool, Roblox creators can prorate the price of in-game items, making them less expensive in nations that possess less spending power.

A blog post from the Roblox team explains that the Regional Pricing tool will apply to items that are bought and sold within custom Roblox experiences. The sandbox title’s economy has become so robust that creators took home nearly $1 billion in earnings in 2024.

That’s already a massive number, but Roblox has even bigger ambitions. Last September, Roblox CEO David Baszucki set a big goal for the future: He wants 10% of all gaming content revenue to flow through the Roblox ecosystem.

That ambitious target requires deep saturation across the globe — and that’s where Regional Pricing comes in. Roblox is a hit around the world: Brazilian creators are opening experience development studios,...

Roblox paid creators almost $1 billion in 2024
Image
Despite Meta pouring billions of dollars into an attempt to become the world’s #1 metaverse hub, Roblox and Fortnite continue to outclass it. Both games rely on a steady stream of new digital items from content creators–and are willing to pay those creators for what they make (and sell).

Fortnite just reported that it paid creators $352 million over the course of 2024. Now here comes Roblox to dwarf that amount: During its latest earnings call, it revealed that it paid creators $280 million in Q4 alone, bringing it to a total of nearly $930 million paid out in 2024.

“We are continuously investing in growing our economy to further expand opportunities for creators, from professional studios to individual content creators, digital clothing designers and brands–already estimated at nearly 18,000 full-time job equivalents just in the U.S. between 2017 and 2023,” Matt Curtis, Roblox‘s VP of Developer Relations, said on the call.

Higher creator...

Why Dress To Impress Is All Over Your Social Media Feeds
Image
With over two billion visits, Dress to Impress by Gigi, a Roblox game, is taking the internet by storm. It exploded internationally in August to the point that streamer CaseOh got a Dress to Impress code. Gathering crowds, from the players who connect through the nostalgia of 2000s fashion games to the ultimate fashionistas, it makes sense why the game has so much positive reception. In addition, the game is very accessible; it is on the free-to-use platform.

The general premise for Dress to Impress is a timed fashion competition, where players are assigned a theme and must make an outfit within the time provided while aiming to win. The more wins, the more points are earned, which will enable players to buy in-game items, an alternative to using codes to claim items. As an online game, it is possible to compete with friends, which helped it gain success through its united enjoyment.

Image
Former WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar has been named to the board of Roblox Corporation, the company behind the online game platform and game-creation system.

Kilar, who also serves on the board of directors of Wealthfront and Opendoor Technologies, exited his post as CEO of WarnerMedia on the eve of the company’s acquisition by Discovery in April 2022. Coincidentally, Kilar’s announcement came on the same day as that for the new job of another high-level WarnerMedia exec who left as a result of the merger, Brett Weitz, former General Manager Of TNT, TBS & truTV. He is joining Elon Musk’s X.

On the Roblox board, Kilar is joining former top TV executive Andrea Wong, who has been serving on multiple boards since her most recent executive job at Sony.

Kilar also joins board chairman and Roblox CEO David Baszucki, lead independent director Anthony P. Lee, and board members Christopher Carvalho...

Roblox Is Making Money Off Child Gambling, New Lawsuit Claims
Image
Roblox: it’s one of the biggest and most popular gaming universes online, with millions of daily users and a highly dedicated teen and tween fanbase that ballooned during pandemic-era lockdowns. But according to a recent class-action lawsuit filed against the gaming company, attorneys for at least two minors claim that the company has maintained and targeted child users with an illegal gambling ecosystem — allegedly defrauding them of thousands of dollars.

Plaintiffs Rachel Colvin and Danielle Sass said their sons both played Roblox but lost thousands of dollars on virtual...

‘Minecraft’ Competitor ‘Roblox’ Raises $150 Million At $2.5 Billion Valuation
Minecraft competitor Roblox has raised $150 million in fresh funding to build out a platform for “human co-experience,” Roblox CEO David Baszucki told Business Insider. Lead investors in the round were Greylock Partners and Tiger Global Management. Baszucki said Roblox will use the funds to expand beyond cooperative gaming into a larger (but still cooperative) virtual universe.

The favorite of many a YouTube gamer, Roblox is now reportedly valued at $2.5 billion -- the same price Microsoft paid for Minecraft’s creator studio Mojang in 2014. Roblox has raised a total of $251.6 million in venture funding date.

There are currently more than 40 million Roblox games, and all of them were created by Roblox users. Other users play the games, and spend in-game currency Robux, which costs real-world money to acquire. When that happens, both Roblox and the user who created that specific game profit from the transaction. Per Business Insider, Roblox will pay...
