Anastasia is a composer and founder of Sonic Twins duo. She was graduated from Gnesins Musical College (2007) and Gnesins Russian Academy of Music (2018), where she had continued her long-life education in Composition and Piano. She won many music competitions including Split Art Convention (Croati2018),The Luna Nova Contest in Memphis (USA, 2018), International Musical Festival in Viana Do Castelo (Portugal, 2002). Also, she was awarded with the California Arts Foundation scholarship and Moscow Union of Composers scholarship. Her music has been performed by musical ensembles in Russian, European and US cities. Anastasia also takes part in creating music for films, TV promo and commercials with her sister Anna.Their works were shown at lots of film festivals as Kinotavr, Moscow International Film Festival (Russia), Braunschweig Film Festival (Germany), Portobello Film Festival (UK), Delhi International Film festival (India), St. Louis International Film Festival (USA), and many others.
Anna and Anastasia launched their project Sonic Twins. On March 25 2020 sisters released their debut EP album "In Infinity", as well as a video directed by Fedor Romm for the leading song. The video has received numerous prizes at international film festivals in England, France, Germany, Argentina, Italy, USA, Ireland and Slovakia. Sonic Twins work within post minimalism, classical crossover with jazz elements, ambient/electronic and contemporary classical styles.
Anastasia Fomina has extensive experience in creating music for different instruments, ensembles, orchestras, choirs in various styles and genres.
