Harold Foxx
Harold Eugene Catron Jr., widely recognized by his stage name Harold Foxx, is a screenwriter, producer, director, comedian, and actor who proudly identifies as Deaf. A Memphis, Tennessee native, Harold earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., where he also played college football.

Harold is the creator of "The Harold Foxx Show," an online series of comedic sketches available on various social media platforms, which showcases his unique brand of humor and storytelling. Best known for his stand-up comedy, Harold has performed at iconic venues such as Crow Comedy, the Laugh Factory, Flappers Comedy Club, and the Palm Springs International Virtual Comedy Festival 2020, as well as in major cities nationwide.

Beyond comedy, Harold has an extensive background in film, television, and theater. His credits include "The Actor Whisperer," "For My Woman," "Audism Unveiled," Deaf West Theatre and Pasadena Playhouse's "Our Town," and Playwrights Horizons' Off-Broadway production of "I Was Alive With You." He was also part of the National Theatre of the Deaf's 2020 Online Playwrights Convening. Harold wrote, directed, produced, and acted in "Smell the Nature," an official selection for the 2021 Easterseals Disability Film Challenge.

Harold's dedication to promoting authentic representation earned him a fellowship in the highly competitive 2021 RespectAbility Lab for Entertainment Professionals with Disabilities. He currently serves as Associate Producer for Orange Kite Productions' feature documentary "Being Michele," which tells the powerful story of a Deaf woman with autism who overcame incarceration and abuse by expressing her trauma and healing through art. Harold has also contributed to the industry as an Art Education Teaching Artist for Deaf West Theatre, a post-production intern for Amazon Studios' romantic comedy "Something from Tiffany's," and as a judge for the 2023 Deaf Film Festival.

In collaboration with Chrissy Marshall, Harold co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in Open to Interpretation, a dark comedy sketch about a Black Deaf comedian's unexpected relationship with his ASL interpreter. The project earned him a Best Actor nomination at the 2024 Easterseals Disability Film Challenge. In 2025, Harold appeared in a pivotal closing moment of The Invalids, a dystopian short about two disabled women trapped in a brutal competition where disability is exploited for sport. The film, produced by Patrick Ivison and directed by Chrissy Marshall, received three Easterseals nominations: Best Film, Best Editor, and Best Director.

Since 2017, Harold has been honing his craft at The Groundlings, a renowned improvisation and sketch comedy theatre and school in Los Angeles, California. In May 2025, he earned his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Screenwriting from California State University, Northridge, where he refined his skills to write, produce, and direct impactful screenplays and films.
