Upsahl Releases Fiery New EP “Sagittarius” – Watch the Music Video to the Track ‘Kickplip’ Now!
Image
On Sagittarius, Upsahl offers listeners an introspective glimpse into her dynamic personality and explores the multifaceted experience of being a Sagittarius. A purveyor of self-love and confidence, Upsahl’s EP revolves around themes of acceptance, tapping into inner strength, and resilience. Each song on the project taps into a different trait intrinsic to the fire sign.

The project is accompanied by brief VFX vignettes giving listeners a visual for each song, further immersing them in the world of being a Sagittarius. Each clip illustrates Upsahl physically transforming into the traits her lyrics allude to with theatrical costumes and dramatically edited backdrops. A highlight off the EP “Toast,” co-written by Tove Lo, takes viewers on a musical journey in the bed of a truck as city lights whirl around her, while focus track “Kickflip” showcases an all-powerful Upsahl in a regal red gown with a slithering snake growing from it.

On Thursday (or Friday, depending on your time zone), Kygo will release his virtual concert, performed from atop a snowy mountain in Norway’s Sunnmore Alps. To make it happen, the Norwegian DJ and pop hitmaker spent more than $100,000 of his own money, according to manager Myles Shear.

Is Sony Finally Realizing Its Global Cross-Media Potential?
I have genuinely lost count of the number of high-ranking Sony Music executives over the past decade who have sold me the “One Sony” dream.

If that phrase is news to you, allow me to enlighten: In a bid to differentiate itself from its key competition (Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group), Sony’s recorded music division has long tried to spin the idea that it is uniquely connected to Sony Corp’s other powerful owned-media divisions – most particularly Sony Pictures (movies and TV) and Sony Game & Network Services (including PlayStation).

By and large,...

Alternative pop singer Au/Ra and DJ Alan Walker have unveiled a new track titled "Ghost".

"Ghost" is the latest offering from the upcoming "Death Stranding: Timefall (Original Music from the World of Death Stranding)" soundtrack, featuring original music inspired by the upcoming PlayStation 4 (PS4) video game, Death Stranding.

Au/Ra said: "I wrote 'Ghost' while I was first getting used to not being home a lot. At that time I was feeling very disconnected from friends and family, and I needed to write something about that feeling of isolation. It ties in with the concept of Death Stranding - the isolation and disconnection in that world and its people, that the protagonist, Sam Porter, is trying to connect again.

"I had worked on a track with Alan Walker called 'Darkside' and we had so much fun doing it,...

Insomniac’s Escape: Psycho Circus Returns to the Nos Events Center on October 26th and 27th
One of my favorite traditions for Halloween weekend has become Insomniac’s Escape: Psycho Circus, a two-day Halloween festival and freak show that transforms the Nos Events Center in San Bernardino, California into a devilish playground where attendees can immerse themselves in endless festive frights while checking out over 65 of the best electronic music acts performing all weekend on four different horror-themed stages.

As someone who attends a variety of electronic festivals throughout the year, Escape: Psycho Circus is one of the best, and their Escape Asylum Halloween maze is one of the most enjoyable attractions I’ve ever experienced. The fact that they put you into a straitjacket upon entry only adds to the terror and hysteria you experience as you make your way through the haunt’s 32,000 square feet of creepy shocks and jolts.

Here’s a look at the impressively awesome musical lineup for the eighth annual Escape: Psycho Circus,...

Coachella is no place to be predictable. No matter your personal style, there is a common approach when it comes to festival fashion: Have fun and celebrate the music. This year, there's no better way of doing that than by channeling the vibes of your favorite performers. Perhaps you're an Alan Walker fan—dance the night away in comfortable sneakers and a pop of neon while listening to the DJ. Maybe you're psyched to see Cardi B—slide into your longest pair of thigh-high boots and a metallic bomber. Oh, so you're waiting for headliners—The Weeknd, Beyoncé and Eminem? We got you covered. Even if you can't make it to Coachella or a local...
