Movies have always had a way of connecting people and communities, as well as challenging the typical norms of society. While everyone loves a classic rom-com, things go up a notch when a movie tries to break barriers by telling stories that, in one way or another, push against societal taboos, especially when it comes to love, acceptance, and identity.
Roshan Sethi’s A Nice Indian Boy is such a movie that promises to bring a refreshing take on romance by exploring a same-sex relationship, that too with a mix of traditional Indian family values. With changing times, more and more filmmakers have embraced such storylines.

Director Roshan Sethi’s romantic-comedy feature hits theaters April 4 from Blue Harbor Entertainment. Hailing from Levantine Films and Wayfarer Studios, the movie also stars Sunita Mani, Zarna Garg, Harish Patel, Peter S. Kim and Sas Goldberg.
A Nice Indian Boy centers on Naveen (Soni), an introverted doctor grappling with introducing his artist boyfriend, Jay (Groff), to his traditional Indian parents amid the possibility of planning a big wedding.
“My parents are super liberal,” Soni says in the trailer. “Just don’t bring up drinking or sex — and no displays of physical affection.”
Later, Groff reflects on their romantic path. “I think a lot of people are a little embarrassed by the bigness of love,” he says. “The family, the wedding — it’s about everybody together.”

Which Deadpool Star Is Featured In Justin Baldoni’s A Nice Indian Boy? ( Photo Credit – YouTube )
Justin Baldoni, the multihyphenate filmmaker behind It Ends With Us, is back with a new film titled A Nice Indian Boy. The actor-director remains ensnared in a legal maelstrom since Blake Lively leveled accusations of s*xual harassment and more against him — a controversy that swelled when The New York Times’ exposé turned the cinema realm against him.
Baldoni countered these claims with defamation suits against The Times and Lively and Ryan Reynolds, striving to enunciate his side of the story. He alleges a couple of extortion, bullying, and other misconduct, maintaining that their coercion forced his Wayfarer Studios to capitulate to the Colleen Hoover adaptation, incurring steep losses in ventures as deals soured.

Fraiser Season 2 Finale Review: Revival's Storytelling Shift Is A Risk That Has An Emotional Pay-Off
Warning! Spoilers ahead for the Frasier season 2 finale.
The Frasier revival's season 2 finale wraps up a slightly improved sophomore year by sticking to its signature storytelling approach. It's no secret that when the Paramount+ reboot of the beloved sitcom was announced, it was met with a divisive response considering the risks of bringing it back. It didn't help that the majority of its original ensemble isn't involved, including David Hyde Pierce's Niles and Jane Leeves' Daphne. The Frasier season 1 finale effectively addressed the show's premise, which was about Frasier reconnecting with his son, Freddy. However, Paramount+ deemed that the series deserved at least another year.

Frasier star Kelsey Grammer insists he hasn't had enough of playing the eponymous talk show host-turned-teacher just yet. The Emmy-winning actor wants to keep playing Frasier Crane for "another 100 episodes" as he sees great potential in the ongoing reboot series.
Speaking with the Toronto Sun, Grammer revealed his plans for the Frasier revival, claiming he's viewing the updated version of the revered sitcom as a long-term project. I want to do another 100 episodes at least, Grammer said. Whether we get there sooner rather than later, I dont know. We could get there in four years if they wanted to, but we dont need to. If they want to spread it out a little longer, thats fine with me."

Having played Dr. Frasier Crane since the '80s, Kelsey Grammer knows his time as one of the biggest sitcom characters in history is closer to ending. The long-time Frasier star gets philosophical as he pictures how he wants the curtains to close on his ongoing reboot.
Speaking with the New York Times, Grammer laid out his vision for ending Frasier, which is in Season 2 of its second run following a decorated 11-year stint between 1993 and 2004. The Emmy-winning actor cited a famous poem by Alfred Tennyson, believing his central character must have "a place to go" when it's all said and done. "In the last show, I want to quote Tennyson, 'Ulysses': 'To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.' Thats the way I want it to end, with a sense that there is still a beginning, an unknown, a place to go," Grammer said.

The Frasier reboot is back with its second season on Paramount Plus. Later this season, viewers will see Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) return to Seattle, where the original series was set. For those who haven't kept up with Frasier following the original show's conclusion, the iconic television character now resides in Boston, where his character was first introduced during Cheers' third season. Frasier's visit to his native Seattle, which occurs in the October 31 episode "Thank You, Dr. Crane," paves the way for Peri Gilpin's Roz Doyle to have a more prominent role in the reboot. Now, while speaking with Parade Magazine, Frasier star and executive producer Grammer shared why the revival needed to return to this familiar setting:
"It has something to do with getting Roz to Boston because we had to have a reason for her to come back. An organic, good reason for her to come back,...

Walking out of the theater after Ddlj, Jay (Jonathan Groff) launches into a defense of the over-the-top emotionality of Bollywood romances. “I think we’re all embarrassed by the bigness of love,” he declares. Healing seldom happens overnight. Wounds may run deep for years before they are patched up for the world to see and can continue to fester beneath the surface even once the facade has been restored. No one should ever have to grow up in an environment where family becomes the cause of such wounds and yet so many do: these cuts are the deepest, and there can never be enough sutures to piece back what once was; these are holes that follow so many into adult life, impacting the choices made and the paths followed. In Tom Huang’s stumbling dramedy “Dealing With Dad”, these wounds impact a flawed family’s reunion to handle their dad – the root cause of their collective trauma – and help him overcome a bout of depression; the longer the film drags on the more obvious it is they are as burdened by his affliction as...

The TV academy has honored voice-only performances since 1992, when six cast members from “The Simpsons” collectively became the first actors to receive Emmys for such work. The Best Voice-Over Performance category became an official non-juried one in 2009 and was then split into two categories in 2014: Best Character Voice-Over and Best Narrator. Harry Shearer (“The Simpsons”) made history as the former category’s first champion, having been nominated once before for the same series.
The 2022 Best Character Voice-Over ballot list below consists of a whopping 222 performances. Seeking a third consecutive victory is Maya Rudolph, who plays Connie the Hormone Monstress on “Big Mouth.” Also in the mix are former winners Shearer, Hank Azaria (“The Simpsons”), Alex Borstein (“Family Guy”), and Seth MacFarlane (“Family Guy”).
Unlike the live action and fictional program nominees, which are chosen by all 22,000 plus academy members, the Best Character Voice-Over contenders are picked only by voters...

Matt Hausfater, Teddy Riley, and Aaron Buchsbaum, creators and executive producers of the upcoming Amazon Original adult animated comedy series Fairfax, have signed first-look deals with Amazon Studios. Under the pacts, they will create and produce projects via their The Adorable Trio production banner to premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Fairfax offers a satirical play on the young, new wave of the sneakerhead/streetwear community, while also capturing the very essence of hype culture — inclusive of the fashion, music, and pop culture that intertwines it all together. The hilarious series pokes fun at hype culture in silly and absurd ways that ultimately showcases the impact among younger generations. Fairfax plays on Gen Z hot topics including cancel culture, social media etiquette, social media activists, clout chasing, and sneaker obsessions.

Amazon Prime’s new animated series has a zany, anything-could-happen sensibility. Which makes it a little disappointing that what usually does happen is a bleeding-edge cultural reference.
To be clear, “Fairfax,” about a group of middle-school hypebeasts coming of age in image-obsessed Los Angeles, is often very funny in how far it’s willing to push its media-saturated sensibility. More often, though, it can feel bleak, as in thrall to the phenomena it’s satirizing as it is skeptical.
Skyler Gisondo voices Dale, a new student at an Instagram-crazed school, one whose principal holds pep rallies to celebrate pupils getting Ig-verified. His new friend group, made up of characters played by Kiersey Clemons, Peter S. Kim, and Jaboukie Young-White, quickly inculcate him into their grail-seeking universe, in which looking cool — particularly for one’s online audience — is all.
There’s plenty to mock here, and the show can go...
