Tamil actor Kovai Senthil passes away in Coimbatore
ObituaryA popular character artiste, he has appeared in films like ‘Avvai Shanmugi’, ‘Goa’ and ‘Padayappa’ amongst others.Tnm StaffTwitterWell-known character artiste and comedian Kovai Senthil, known for his roles in Tamil films like Padayappa, En Rathathin Rathame, Avasara Police 100, etc passed away in Coimbatore on Sunday. Due to deteriorating health, the actor was admitted at a private hospital in Vadavalli, Coimbatore where he breathed his last. He was 74. Kovai Senthil has appeared in supporting roles in many Tamil films. The actor was seen in Cs Amudhan’s 2010 spoof film Tamizh Padam, playing the role of Nattamai (village head). The director shared his memory of the scene on Twitter writing that Kovai Senthil had completed the shot in one take. Oh yes... :( I remember we were under pressure to finish that day’s shoot at 6pm & he got that long dialogue in one take much to our relief. #Rip https://t.
