The Challenge’s Theo Campbell sparks engagement rumors after Season 40 showmance
Image
Theo Campbell returned for The Challenge: Battle of the Eras as one of the Era 4 team members competing to win the ultimate prize.

He eliminated his rival castmate, Paulie Calafiore, early in the season, but eventually lost an elimination to Johnny Bananas, ending Theo’s chance to win the show.

While Theo didn’t reach the Season 40 final, he seemingly landed something more valuable: the love and affection of his castmate, Olivia Kaiser.

The duo caught one another’s attention while filming the season, and like Devin Walker and Michele Fitzgerald, they were among the showmances that went beyond the season.

Since appearing on the show, Theo and Olivia have continued to explore their relationship, with Theo deciding to visit Olivia in the United States.

The Challenge couple has potentially sparked engagement rumors as fans speculate on a recent video clip.

There’s no love lost between The Challenge stars Johnny Bananas and Devin Walker. That’s especially true after their drama on Battle of the Eras.

The iconic Season 40 on MTV featured them competing on different Era teams, and each wanted to one-up the other.

Following Bananas’ suggestion to Devin’s showmance, Michele Fitzgerald, that she be careful with him, things went off the rails between Devin and Bananas.

Unfortunately for Devin, Bananas had the last laugh. Devin’s castmates with power sent him into an elimination match against promising newcomer Kyland Young, which Devin lost.

Despite that, Devin’s now-girlfriend, Michele, remained in the game with his close friend, Tori Deal, and endured Bananas’s wrath.

On a recent episode of the Death, Taxes and Bananas podcast, The Challenge’s winningest player blasted Devin as a cast member, explaining his issues with him.

The Challenge’s Steve Meinke shares whether he plans to return after All Stars Rivals win
Jake Cornish, Izzy Fairthorne, Olivia Kaiser, Justin Hinsley, Chris 'C.T.' Tamburello, Blue Kim, Dee Valladares, Leonardo Dionicio, Johnny 'Bananas' Devenanzio, Cara Maria Sorbello, and Leroy Garrett in The Challenge (1998)
The Challenge: All Stars Rivals brought a variety of individuals back to the competition, including former Road Rules castmates Katie Cooley, Adam Larson, and Steve Meinke.

Due to the theme and format, Adam and Steve were partners, following Steve’s sly move to steal Adam’s Star in All Stars 4.

However, the duo co-existed fine on Rivals, endured repeatedly going into eliminations, and ultimately won the season’s grand prize.

They even correctly determined each other’s answer to host Tj Lavin’s twist about splitting or keeping the $250,000 prize.

Following the season finale on MTV, one cast member announced retirement from The Challenge.

Steve, 48, also revealed whether or not he feels he’ll compete again or ride off into the sunset after the big win.

‘The Challenge All Stars’ winner Steve Meinke on redemption, rivalries, and being labeled the ‘boring guy’
Image
The Challenge All Stars: Rivals came to a dramatic end on Wednesday when Adam Larson and Steve Meinke edged out Da'Vonne Rogers and Shane Landrum by just one star to win the $250,000 grand prize. Frank Fox and Sam McGinn finished in third place, with Melissa Reeves and Nicole Zanatta in fourth.

For Steve, winning The Challenge was redemption after he "screwed the pooch" in All Stars 4 by misreading instructions and allowing Laurel Stucky to beat him to the finish line. "It was absolutely embarrassing," he tells Gold Derby (see the video interview above). "If you know me, it's the most Steve way to lose something like this. Not against someone else, but myself."

It was a lesson learned for the 48-year-old Challenge vet. This season, Steve says he was hyperaware of the rules and listened to host Tj Lavin's directions with extreme concentration — even if it made him "look constipated.

The Challenge’s Devin Walker slams Johnny Bananas as ‘bronze medalist’ among Goat cast members
Image
Devin Walker didn’t hold back with his comments about his The Challenge castmate Johnny Bananas.

Both appeared in the cast of MTV’s The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, which included 40 iconic stars from the competition series.

However, egos clashed during the gameplay, including Bananas and Devin re-entering a feud during the season.

Bananas’ remarks to Michele Fitzgerald about being careful with her then-showmance with Devin didn’t sit well with the Ride or Dies winner.

However, Devin was eliminated before the Season 40 final, leaving Michele and her allies to strategize against Bananas Angels.

It spilled over to the reunion, where Devin and Bananas seemed to get along. However, Devin’s recent remarks on the Zach Nichols Podcast may reignite things.

However, that cast quickly got reduced as the weeks passed, and several multi-time champions exited.

The latest update shows more elimination results, including a rookie who went home and one remaining.

In addition, the following Season 41 spoilers reveal two former champions who are no longer in the running to win.

The Challenge insider shares an update about one rookie’s elimination status

Previous spoilers suggested Big Brother star America Lopez got eliminated from The Challenge 41. However, a new update indicates that America was in “an elimination arena” but did not go home.

The Challenge’s Devin Walker addresses speculation that Season 40 was rigged
Derrick Kosinski in The Challenge (1998)
Following The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, some fans may have thought that production rigged aspects of the show to help specific castmates.

One thing fans and castmates called out included an elimination event involving Horacio Gutierrez and Derrick Kosinski.

In addition, Jordan Wiseley and fans pointed out a significant daily challenge mistake involving Jenny West, Cara Maria Sorbello, and Tori Deal.

Devin Walker was there for some of the season, but castmate Kyland Young eliminated him in Episode 9.

Devin appeared in All Stars Rivals from there, teaming with Leroy Garrett based on previous game moves.

That season didn’t go well either, as the duo lost to the formidable pair of Adam Larson and Steve Meinke. Soon after MTV aired his elimination, Devin spoke about those “rigged” claims.

The Challenge’s Dario Medrano addresses his heated altercation with Devin Walker on All Stars Rivals
Ashley Kelsey in The Challenge (1998)
Dario Medrano’s return for The Challenge: All Stars Rivals reunited him with his ex, Ashley Kelsey, and several former castmates.

Among them were his good friend, Leroy Garrett, and Leroy’s teammate, Ride or Dies winner Devin Walker.

During the season, things took a crazy turn when Dario suggested to the daily challenge winners that they send Devin and Leroy into elimination to get rid of a strong team.

That information got back to Devin, who relayed it to Leroy, resulting in a blowup between Devin and Medrano.

The two got in one another’s faces during an intense argument that included plenty of trash talk and even threats from Dario that he’d break Devin’s jaw.

In a spoiler alert, Devin and Leroy lost in the elimination later. After their loss, Devin continued to berate Dario at The Jungle elimination location and criticized him further in his later interview remarks.

Ashley Kelsey in The Challenge (1998)
Ashley Kelsey and Dario Medrano returned on The Challenge after previously enjoying a showmance and off-the-show dating.

Things didn’t work out, though, leaving unresolved issues, and the duo became teammates for All Stars Rivals.

However, a recent episode saw them fall in elimination to Nany Gonzalez and her teammate, Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran.

‘The Challenge All Stars: Rivals’: Dario Medrano responds to Devin’s claims he could ‘beat the living s–t out of his mouth’
Image
Dario Medrano made a memorable return to The Challenge franchise this year in The Challenge All Stars: Rivals. Eight years after he competed on Dirty 30, the 32-year-old was cast to compete alongside his ex-girlfriend, Ashley Kelsey, whom he hadn't spoken to in six years.

"I didn't think I was going to be able to return to The Challenge," he tells Gold Derby (watch the interview above). "I wasn't thrilled with how I left off a few years ago. As the years go on, you start to think you'll never get an opportunity again. The stars aligned and here we are." He elaborates, "My overall effort on the last season or two — my head wasn't in it. There wasn't a lot of joy around filming and being in the house. When I went into this season, I was there. I was present. I was vested. I really wanted to make an impact and win.

The Challenge star Wes Bergmann suggests ‘hazard pay’ for show’s ‘television stars’
Image
Wes Bergmann continues to watch The Challenge from afar and share his thoughts on the various seasons.

MTV is currently airing All Stars Rivals, which features pairs of castmates with a feud or history from The Challenge.

Among them are MTV OGs, including Frank Sweeney Fox, Veronica Portillo, Katie Cooley, and Shane Landrum.

However, some OGs continue to receive backlash for their specific strategies, which help them survive without going into eliminations and get closer to the final.

In a recent episode, viewers saw Amber Borzotra blast Frank after castmates voted her and her teammate, Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat, into the elimination event.

Amber called out Frank for stirring up drama in the house to create mistrust amongst allies. He denied it at the nomination meeting, only to reveal later in the confessional that he controls the game.

The Challenge star Brad Fiorenza surprises fans and castmates with new look
Image
Brad Fiorenza and his beard returned to The Challenge in the past several years, first competing on the All Stars spin-offs before appearing in several of MTV’s flagship seasons.

He arrived at Battle For a New Champion as one of the former winners that competed in one elimination as a mercenary. Viewers saw Kyland Young defeat him.

Brad competed on Season 40, aka Battle of the Eras, where he was part of the Era 1 team with other MTV OGs.

However, viewers saw the OGs quickly eliminated from the show, except for Rachel Robinson, who won along with Jordan Wiseley and Jenny West. Brad survived until Episode 6, when Cory Wharton eliminated him.

He didn’t return for All Stars Rivals, although some of his Season 40 castmates, including Leroy Garrett, Devin, Aneesa Ferreira, and Katie Cooley, participated.

As that season airs on MTV, Brad recently surprised everyone by debuting a fresh new...

The Challenge’s Cory Wharton calls out fans as ‘dummies’ after criticisms and suggestions

Cory Wharton blasted some The Challenge fans, whom he called “dummies,” for their online criticism and suggestions.

The multi-time finalist last appeared on MTV’s Battle of the Eras, where he participated in Era 3 alongside champions Jordan Wiseley, Tori Deal, and Jonna Mannion.

While it appeared Cory was on the verge of reaching yet another final for The Challenge, castmate Derek Chavez defeated him in an elimination, sending him home.

With Season 40 over, attention shifted to All Stars Rivals, as the spinoff airs on MTV.

Some of Cory’s friends and castmates are part of the cast, including Devin Walker, Leroy Garrett, Nany Gonzalez, and Ashley Kelsey.

The Challenge fans blast All Stars Rivals season as ‘worst ever’ after ‘stupid’ twist reveal
Image
Fans of The Challenge expressed their criticisms and frustrations over the All Stars Rivals season on MTV.

The latest installment of the spin-off has paired rival teammates, including strange combinations of teams of a man and woman, or two men, or two women, all competing against each other.

Among them are teams with notable feuds, such as Veronica Portillo and Katie Cooley or Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat and Amber Borzotra.

Other teams, like Devin Walker and Leroy Garrett or Adam Larson and Steve Meinke, feature confusing newer rivalries.

However, many of the rivals seem to have easily put aside their differences to work toward trying to win the main prize: a share of the first-place cash.

A recent teaser clip for a new episode of All Stars Rivals gave fans room to share why they were disappointed in the latest spin-off season.

The Challenge’s Sam McGinn says she pleaded with All Stars Rivals teammate about move to ‘flip the game’
Image
The Challenge: All Stars Rivals might feature castmates with feuds and rivalries in their history, but it also helped some individuals discover new friends.

For returning show winner Sam McGinn, she found a friend in Devin Walker, as they bonded during their time filming Rivals.

Unfortunately, the nature of The Challenge and the teams strategizing to win can quickly turn friends into rivals and enemies.

In Episode 5, viewers saw several friendships potentially fractured. One of them was Dario Medrano and Leroy Garrett’s friendship.

During the episode, Dario suggested to the daily challenge winners, Sam and Frank Sweeney Fox, that they send Devin and Leroy into elimination.

Ultimately, they made that move, which hurt Devin and Sam’s friendship. Sam recently spoke about that big game move on the Zach Nichols Podcast.

The Challenge star Corey Lay blasts All Stars Rivals castmate as ‘fake and phony’ for group messages

Castmates clashed during a recent episode of The Challenge: All Stars Rivals and it wasn’t just cast members fighting with their rival teammates.

Viewers saw a heated altercation involving Devin Walker and Dario Medrano, who was friends with Devin’s teammate, Leroy Garrett.

Their argument occurred once Devin learned that Dario suggested to the daily challenge winners, Frank Sweeney Fox and Sam McGinn, that they send Devin and Leroy into the elimination.

After that argument erupted, another clash occurred during the nominations ceremony, as teams voted for which pair would go into elimination.

When Adam Larson announced who he and his teammate, Steve Meinke, voted for, it was Tula “Big T” Fazakerley and Corey Lay.

That set Corey off, and he wondered why Adam was choosing them. Eventually, Adam told him to shut up so he could finish explaining why.

The Challenge’s Devin Walker calls out several ‘bottom-of-the-barrel’ All Stars Rivals castmates
Devin Walker in The Challenge (1998)
According to Devin Walker, several castmates from The Challenge: All Stars Rivals didn’t deserve to be on the show.

A recent episode on MTV featured Devin and his Rivals teammate, Leroy Garrett, finding out that Leroy’s friend Dario Medrano suggested the daily challenge winners send them into elimination.

That created an intense argument between Devin and Dario, with each trash-talking the other for some drama during the episode.

‘The Challenge’: Devin Walker on That Meltdown, Other Rivals & Who He Blames for Early Elimination
Image
The Challenge: All Stars Rivals became a bitter game of backstabbery on Wednesday’s (February 26) newest episode, “Rivals in the Ruff.” Dario Medrano actively conspired against his real-life best buddy Leroy Garrett‘s team, and Frank Fox convinced Sam McGinn to use their win to vote against her biggest ally Devin Walker. Leroy and Devin came into this season pretty hot, winning the first daily challenge and placing highly on the others (they even almost beat Frank and Sam in the trivia-turned-eating competition). They also worked well together with a relatively minor feud in their rearview and were one of only two all-male teams — along with perpetual arena-goers Adam Larson and Steve Meinke — which made even their closest pals turn against them to send them into the arena. To find out more about how this betrayal happened, TV Insider caught up with Devin Walker. You and Leroy seem to be pretty non-rival-ish.

The Challenge fans call out ‘awkward’ All Stars 5 scene featuring Nany Gonzalez before her breakup

A lot can happen between when The Challenge films a season and when the episodes finally air.

Johnny 'Bananas' Devenanzio
The Challenge star Johnny Bananas blasted by former castmates as ‘getting a little cringe’
Johnny 'Bananas' Devenanzio
If Johnny Bananas were to appear on The Challenge: All Stars Rivals, he would likely have a group of suitable teammates.

One of the most notable would be former show winner Sarah Rice, who stopped doing The Challenge after her infamous reality TV moment with Bananas as her partner.

Fittingly, she and Bananas were teammates on one of the original MTV Rivals seasons, with Bananas opting to leave her penniless and keep all the prize money after they won the final.

Sarah previously won Battle of the Exes II with Jordan Wiseley as her teammate. Bananas felt betrayed by Sarah, whom he’d considered a friend and ally that season.

Since leaving the competition show, she’s succeeded in her professional career and co-hosts a podcast with Susie Meister, another Challenge alum.

The duo recently spoke with their former castmate, Ryan Kehoe, and they all shared thoughts about Bananas.

The Challenge’s Frank Sweeney Fox receives praise from former castmate for ‘carrying’ All Stars 5

Many fans are taking notice of Frank Sweeney Fox’s return to The Challenge. He’s considered one of the early standouts on All Stars Rivals.

The Challenge winner and two-time finalist hadn’t appeared in a season since 2014’s Free Agents.

For the All Stars 5 season, he learned that he and former Real World: San Diego castmate Sam McGinn would be teammates, forcing them to work together.

While Frank realized Sam had limitations in specific physical tasks due to a lack of conditioning or training, he still found ways to control the game.

That included a big move to get castmates KellyAnne Judd and Sylvia Elsrode sent into elimination and ultimately sent home.

Frank’s other former castmate, Zach Nichols, recently praised him during an episode of The Zach Nichols Podcast.

With the Rivals theme, she’s teamed up with Sylvia Elsrode, a castmate she feuded with during All Stars 3.

While they got on the same page during their latest season, KellyAnne’s castmate, Frank Sweeney, called out issues with her behavior.

Their argument arrived after a recent episode on the show where Frank acted as if he were concerned about Kelly staying with him in the game. However, in his confessional interview, he admitted that he didn’t care about any of his castmates.

While on a video chat to discuss what happened in Episode 3, KellyAnne...

Image
Welcome to Reality Derby, our weekly deep dive into all things reality TV, hosted by Gold Derby senior editors Marcus James Dixon and Denton Davidson.

Sylvia says she knew “instantly” that she would be paired up with KellyAnne when host Tj Lavin revealed it was a Rivals season. The duo wasted no time getting into a heated fight that the Challenger admits was “good for TV,” but not for their team.

“Now KellyAnne and I are great,” she tells Reality Derby. “We talk regularly. Had we really had a conversation then...

The Challenge stars Cory Wharton and Paulie Calafiore slam All Stars 5 cast after poor performance
Image
The newest season of The Challenge: All Stars features the most unique cast so far, but some of their former castmates aren’t too impressed.

Recent remarks from Cory Wharton and Paulie Calafiore blasted many of the All Stars Rivals cast members after seeing them in action- or their inaction.

As of this writing, only two episodes of All Stars 5 have aired on MTV. Episode 2 featured a daily challenge involving heights.

Viewers have seen multiple cast members struggle to participate in those tasks, including OGs Katie Cooley and Darrell Taylor.

Therefore, it might not be surprising that Katie did not participate in the second All Stars Rivals daily.

However, the surprise for viewers was how many cast members participated in and completed that daily challenge.

Not many All Stars 5 teams competed in the Edge of Glory challenge

In All Stars 5, Episode 2, host Tj Lavin revealed to The Challengers how to win Edge of Glory,...

The Challenge star Jonna Mannion calls out All Stars castmates for inaccurate Rivals scoop
Image
Jonna Mannion called out several of her castmates from The Challenge: All Stars for details they gave her on the Rivals season.

On the show, cast members partner with castmates who have a rivalry or feud with them. Some of these castmates are individuals they never wanted to see again.

That was Beth Stolarczyk for Jonna due to her putting Jonna’s alleged infidelity on blast during a previous All Stars season.

Despite their differences, the two-time All Stars winner wanted to try to work with Beth to win a third season of the spinoff.

In a spoiler alert, things didn’t go well for them. They were the first team eliminated, losing to Adam Larson and Steve Meinke.

Jonna recently explained that she had no idea Beth would participate in All Stars 5 due to a few castmates.

Jonna said she thought Beth wasn’t part of All Stars 5

According to Jonna,...

Johnny Bananas claims The Challenge used ‘Envy vote’ twist against him on Season 40
Rachel Robinson
The Challenge: Battle of the Eras is in the books with co-champions Jenny West and Rachel Robinson for the women, alongside Jordan Wiseley for the men.

However, many fans believe a significant twist ruined things for Season 40 and how the final standings went.

Count Johnny Bananas among them, as his third-place finish doesn’t seem to sit well with him due to the Karma Vote.

That twist allowed eliminated castmates to assign scores on a scale of one to five to all of the remaining competitors. A five was the best score possible, while a one was the worst.

Production and Tj Lavin indicated that the eliminated cast members gave points based on how they felt that particular castmate treated them and others.

However, some of these scores may have been based on ill will because that castmate sent them into elimination during the season. Some castmates may have assigned...

The Challenge Season 40 winner Jordan Wiseley calls himself ‘a killer’ and castmate ‘obsessed’

Jordan Wiseley stood tall once again as a champion on The Challenge, dominating the Battle of the Eras final against three other men.

With that win, he picked up his fifth overall and first since winning The Challenge: World Championship spinoff with Kaz Crossley.

Some may now consider him the greatest of all time on the competition show, while others feel he has some work to do.

And his road to potentially winning more championships could get more challenging in the future based on rising stars like Kyland Young.

The former Big Brother star reached his first final in Season 40 but quickly realized how tough the grueling competitions can be, with the swim-heavy events part of his fourth-place finish.
