The original 2018 film has blossomed into a full-blown franchise with a direct sequel in 2021, a prequel in 2024, and now a third entry set for release in 2027.

Deadline reports that Paramount Pictures has dated A Quiet Place Part III for a July 9, 2027, release date. The first two movies were directed by, written (or co-written) by, and starred John Krasinski, who is likely best known as an actor for his small-screen roles in The Office and Jack Ryan. In a new video showcase from developer Saber Interactive, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead has revealed the unique way in which players can silence the sound of their steps in-game by using sandbags. According to the developers, players can lay sand down at their feet to muffle the sounds of their footsteps, which will help prevent detection from A Quiet Place's terrifying audio-focused creatures. As explained in the video, sandbags will be few and far between, perhaps indicating some level of survival-horror resource management.

Exclusive: Uma Thurman has joined the cast of the indie action feature Ballerina Overdrive from 87North and Gulfstream Pictures.

She joins previously announced stars Lana Condor, Iris Apatow, Millicent Simmonds, Maddie Ziegler and Avantika. Previously attached stars Lena Headey, Yara Shahidi and Isabela Merced have since departed the project. Jenny Jue cast the film, which is currently in production in Budapest.

A group of industry actors, filmmakers, writers and showrunners has signed on to an open letter spearheaded by Inevitable Foundation asking Hollywood to consider financing and marketing more projects that include accurate and entertainment representation of people with disabilities. Among the signers are “Coda” director Sian Heder, Alyssa Milano, Ramy Youssef, Rachel Bloom, Marlee Matlin, “Three Body Problem” showrunner Alexander Woo and “A Quiet Place Part II” star Millicent Simmonds.

The letter also calls for collecting more data around content featuring disabled individuals and making sure entertainment venues are accessible to all. Inevitable Foundation invests in disabled writers and filmmakers to enable them to achieve artistic and financial freedom and use film and television to destigmatize disability and mental health globally.

The Abbott's are in a pharmacy, taking whatever supplies they can bring home. The youngest, Beau (Cade Woodward), finds a toy space shuttle and wants to keep it, but he can't: it makes noise. Their deaf daughter Regan (Millicent Simmonds), however, goes all "whatever, boomer" and takes out the toy's batteries and gives Beau the toy. Review: A quick word of warning before I get into my review. Paramount has been pretty smart about avoiding any Spoilers for this movie, so if you want to go in fresh without knowing anything about it other than whether or not it’s good, I’ll save you the rest of the review. I enjoyed it. It’s not quite as good as the first two movies, but it’s a solid prequel that shares the same DNA as the other movies, delivering a surprisingly affecting human story amid all the carnage.
