Ana is an award winning writer, director and production designer. Her directorial debut, Eat Your Principles (2017), had 11 official selections, notably Japans Oscar qualifying Short Shorts International Film Festival and winning Audience Choice at Barcelona VisualSound Festival.
Her second short film, On Your Behalf (2021), a short film Ana wrote, directed and designed has (so far) received 27 official selections, notably the Oscar Qualifying Edmonton International Film Festival & Calgary International Film Festival. 6 official selections at GOYA qualifying festivals, winning Best Short Film Directed by a woman & 3rd Best Short of the competition at Alfàs Del Pi. Following that, OYB then won Best International Short Film & was selected by the Shadow Jury as their favorite of the competition at Cortos Soria. It's 5th & 6th awards at a GOYA qualifying festival were Best Original Screenplay & the Amnesty International Human Rights Award at FICAL, Festival International de Cine de Almeria. OYB was also selected to screen at Mostra De Curtas Noia and Cortogenia, qualifying On Your Behalf for consideration for the 30th edition of Spain's prestigious GOYA Awards.
Ana also picked up Best Director at RED Movie Awards, Best Production Design at Prague International Indie Film Festival, Indie Shorts Awards Cannes & New York Indie Shorts. On Your Behalf won first prize at the annual Fade In Comedy Awards.
Other notable selections include Montclair Film Festival, British Shorts Film Festival, San Diego International Film Festival, St Johns International Women's Film Festival, Mallorca International Film Festival, Cinefest Sudbury, Omladinski Film Festival & Santa Monica Film Festival.
Since completing On Your Behalf, Ana graduated from her Filmmaking course at London Film School with a Distinction and designed her first feature length film, which is expected to be released this year.
Ana, alongside two of her trusted collaborators Sam Travis & Maya Wills have founded a Production Company, Flaco Films, and she has started writing her first feature.
