Charlize Meyer-Thomas

Charlize is an actor, singer, dancer, model, acrobat and is also an internationally and nationally competing rhythmic gymnast. She was born into an entertainment industry family. From 6 weeks old Charlize was accompanying her mother on extensive tours with large scale productions, across Australia and internationally. Charlize presently trains at the Queensland Ballet Academy level 6. She previously trained in many dance styles, singing, acrobatics and drama at the May Downs School of Dance, The National Theatre Ballet School, The Australian Ballet School and with Amanda Colliver Akasha Vocal Studio. Charlize's on-screen debut was in 2014 when Director Jaan Sebastian cast her in the short film 'Transactions'. Charlize next played the emotional role of Jasmyn in "Too Late" Dir. Jerry Farsoun. A short film tackling issues surrounding suicide and its prevention. Following this, Charlize went on to act in a string of short films. Young Silvy in 'A Static Wind" Dir. Issac Elliott, Jane in "We Go To The Gallery" Dir. Mathilda Xiao, Lucy in "7 Storeys Down" Dir. Phoenix Raei and was cast as Young Celeste in "Novum" Dir. Dia Taylor. In 2017, Charlize played Young Emma in "Method" the TV Series (Episode 3) directed by Tawni Byant and Jerome Velsinky seen on 9GO. She then went on appear in "Proud to be a Princess" campaign for the Disney Channel. In 2018, Charlize was a catwalk model for Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival RUN the runway. As the Face of the Runway, she appeared on several billboard campaigns and walked the runway in Valmax, Review, Disney, Petit Amelie, House of Emmerson and Catamini. Previously she had modelled in 2015 and 2016 for Zimmerman, Ouch and Seed. Charlize starred in the short film "Shapes" as the lead Amelia and played the role of Lucia in "Taboo". Charlize was the hand model for an Officeworks Back to School TVC and stars as the hero girl in 2019 Auskick TVC plus she was featured in the 2020 Covid 19 TVC "You're not drinking alone" for the Australian Drug and Alcohol Foundation. Charlize has also performed live in many large corporate events. Charlize is a passionate performer with a quick wit, creative mind and a versatile intellect.
