The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows anime finally started on April 3 and the fans can currently enjoy the adaptation of the popular harem fantasy novel series, which is a great thing. And while the anime is only just warming up, the producers are giving us more content, which is awesome!

Created by Sakaku Hishikawa, The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows became a popular series when it received a light novel adaptation 2021; as of the time of writing, there are seven available volumes of the ongoing series.

Alongside the anime, the producers have just released a new visual highlighting Carmilla, as well as a voice story titled “Carmilla’s Long Night.”

The anime adaptation ofThe Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows has revealed some exciting updates. Shochiku released a new official promo video on February 11, 2025, giving us a first listen to the opening theme, ‘Light Maker,’ by the band bokula.

The series is based on the light novels by Sakaku Hishikawa and Daburyu, and it’s set to premiere on April 3, 2025, on Tokyo Mx and BS11. Fans can also stream it on Abema and d Anime Store.

The new video also introduces more voice cast members. Yuki Nakashima will voice Krishna, the Vice-Commander of the Royal Guard. Taku Yashiro is joining as Zonde, Zophia’s younger brother. Masaaki Mizunaka will play Aston, the leader of the adventurer party Zenos once belonged to.

The anime stars Shōgo Sakata as Zenos, Miharu Hanai as Lily, and Yōko Hikasa as Carmilla. Other key cast include Anna Nagase as Zophia and Mashiro Hitaka as Lynga.

There's almost too much anime out there. It's a great problem to have for an anime-lover, as there's no shortage of series in any genre for fans to watch. If there is a downside to the incredible amount of animation out there, it's that some shows fly under the radar for way too long.
