Biography

    • Eloise Singer is an Emmy-nominated, multi-award-winning British producer, writer, and director.

She is the great-great-granddaughter of Isaac Singer, inventor of the Singer Sewing Machine, and Isabella Eugénie Boyer, the model for the Statue of Liberty.

Born on the Channel Island of Jersey and raised in South America, Singer returned to the U.K. to study Political Science and International Relations at the University of Leeds, where she graduated with a first-class degree. She then studied Film Production at the London Film Academy.

Singer worked at Pinewood Studios on film and television productions for BBC, Channel 4, Netflix, Disney, and Paramount Pictures, including The Crown (2016), Murder on the Orient Express (2017), and Ready Player One (2018).

In 2017, she founded Singer Studios with a mission to empower the next generation of creatives to tell the boldest stories across film, podcasts, documentaries, and immersive media. The company uses the power of storytelling to challenge the status quo and spark change.

She executive produced Billie Piper's film Rare Beasts (2019), starring Lily James and David Thewlis, which premiered at Venice Film Festival, London Film Festival, and SXSW. She then executive produced Universal's film The Last Rifleman (2023), starring Pierce Brosnan, Clémence Poésy, and John Amos.

Singer then created and directed The Pirate Queen (2023), starring Lucy Liu, which shot to critical acclaim, winning the Storyscapes Award at Tribeca Film Festival and the Discovery Award at Raindance Film Festival. Backed by Meta and the BFI, the project was hailed by critics as "remarkable," "captivating," and "a VR masterpiece," earning Singer Emmy and PGA nominations. Together with Lucy Liu, she is now expanding The Pirate Queen franchise into a graphic novel, a podcast, and an animated TV series.

Singer produced, co-wrote, and directed Trailblazer (2025), starring Daisy Ridley, which premiered at Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, SXSW, and Sheffield Doc Fest, earning multiple nominations, including the Grand Jury Prize at Venice. Described as "genuinely incredible" by Kermode and Mayo and "a groundbreaking VR experience" by Creative Boom, the project received widespread acclaim.

Singer is expanding the Trailblazer franchise into a graphic novel series and a feature film, with Oscar and BAFTA-winning Lesley Paterson (All Quiet on the Western Front (2022)) and Daisy Ridley attached as producers.

She regularly hosts and produces the podcast Women Behind the Scenes (2023), a series championing the stories of award-winning filmmakers. The series became the highest-charting new podcast in its release week and was hailed by BBC Film & TV Critic Rhianna Dhillon as a "must-listen."

Singer is also producing and directing a three-part investigative documentary series, Inheritance, executive produced by XYZ Films and Emmy-winning Chris Smith at Library Films.
