Biography

Yani Simone is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago where she majored in acting. Yani has trained at The Actor's Studio and The Company Acting Studio, both located in Atlanta, GA, as well as The Annoyance Theater (Improv) and Chicago's Actor's Studio.

Yani has had a co-starring role on "Being Mary Jane" season 4 starring Gabrielle Union, and has also been featured on BET's " The Quad" where she played the supporting role of, "Tammy." She has also appeared on the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey show located in Chicago Illinois.

As a voice-over talent, Yani sang a jingle for the Georgia Lottery and was featured in several commercials for Publix supermarket; a national supermarket chain.

In addition to acting, Yani is also a recording artist signed to Outliers Music Group located in Atlanta Ga. She is set to release the music video to her new single Bi-Lingual off of her upcoming album entitled, "Couples Therapy" towards the end of May 2018. All songs were written and performed by Yani and feature several Atlanta artist.

Yani Simone will make her feature film debut in "Life of the Party," a film that stars Academy Award nominated actress Melissa McCarthy. The film is due in theaters May 11,2018.
