Star Wars: Skeleton Crew has the potential to introduce a thrilling new villain, the Pirate Queen of Wild Space. The Star Wars galaxy is a vast one, and the upcoming Skeleton Crew series will explore a region of space that's seldom been seen before. "Wild Space" is "off the edge of the map," and Skeleton Crew will introduce a group of young adventurers who wander uncharted space as they seek a way home.
Although Skeleton Crew is set at the same time as other Mandalorian era shows (and one upcoming movie), Grand Admiral Thrawn isn't expected to be the main villain. Rather, the show will focus on a group of pirates - including Marti Matulis' Vane, introduced in The Mandalorian season 3. Over and above Vane, though, it looks likely the show will feature a foe drawn straight from Chuck Wendig's Aftermath trilogy - the Pirate Queen of Wild Space,...

The following contains spoilers for Futurama Season 8, Episode 1, "The Impossible Stream," now streaming on Hulu.
When Futurama was un-cancelled yet again by Hulu, audiences expected a certain amount of self-deprecating humor. Like Matt Groening's other series The Simpsons, Futurama has never been afraid to poke fun at itself -- even moreso given the show's convoluted production history. Coming back from the TV dead a second time naturally lends itself to jokes, especially on a sci-fi comedy, and Season 8, Episode 1, "The Impossible Stream" leans so far into that idea that it's practically falling over with laughter.
From the very first Hulu ads, the Futurama creatives were taking jabs at both the show's seeming immortality and their new streaming home. In "The Impossible Stream," the show takes both of those topics head-on. Professor Farnsworth quickly explains what's happened since the prior episode "Meanwhile" -- it turns out that 10 years have passed in-universe as well as off-screen!

Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, is given the nickname "The Annihilator" in the upcoming Phase 5 movie "The Marvels." The nickname suggests that Carol may have caused significant destruction and loss for the Kree, leading to their desire for revenge. The use of "The Annihilator" also connects to the Marvel Comics superhero team, the Annihilators, potentially hinting at Captain Marvel's future role in the MCU.
The Marvels trailer reveals Carol Danvers’ new nickname is “The Annihilator,” a nickname that actually carries a deep, hidden meaning. The upcoming Phase 5 movie will bring back Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, whose activities have been largely shrouded in mystery over the last several years. Much of what she’s been up to since she left Earth in Captain Marvel remains unknown, with her Avengers: Endgame appearance avoiding answering many questions about her past.
