While talking about the character he portrays in his new film, Majors made host Sherri Shepherd cry as the character hit close to home.

In the film, Majors portrays aspiring bodybuilder Killian Maddox, whom the actor describes as “mentally different,” adding, “You find out that his childhood was a bit difficult, and therefore he moves through the world in a different way.”

Jonathan Majors was dropped from the Marvel Cinematic Universe just as he was gearing up to be featured as the big bad in Avengers: Doomsday (originally titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty). Though the MCU is moving on without him, Majors is still open to coming back to the MCU if Disney and Marvel Studios will ultimately decide to reverse the decision.

Majors opened up on the possibility of returning as Kang at some point in the future during a new interview with USA Today. He was asked how he'd feel if Marvel were to give him the call about coming back, and Majors made it clear that he would do so with no hesitation. He attributed his eagerness to come back into the fold to how much he loved working with his MCU co-stars, something he says he can still feel even far removed from his role as Kang.
