"Salvation comes in the blink of an eye." Lightfold, a new animation studio based in Atlanta, has unveiled the first official trailer for their debut short called Godspeed. This is the latest creation from the animation filmmaker behind the popular Final Space sci-fi series, and it involves yet another space adventure sci-fi story. Godspeed follows a young woman named Iris, voiced by Bryce Charles, and her adorable karaoke-bot sidekick named Bowie as they navigate the desolate landscape of their crumbling world (sounds lot like Earth once climate change ravages everything). She must survive a planet-ending storm in hopes of finding a message that will help her escape this place. The voice cast also features Troy Baker (The Last of Us), Claudia Black, Coty Galloway & Olan Rogers (both from Final Space), and a few surprises. Netflix’s After Life is coming to an end: The Ricky Gervais drama-comedy will premiere its third and final season on Friday, Jan. 14.

The six-episode swan song follows Tony, “a writer for the local newspaper whose life is upended after his wife dies from cancer,” reads the official synopsis. “Whilst still struggling with immense grief for his wife, Tony starts to realize that making other people feel good is what can give him hope and a reason to live. After all, every end is a new beginning.”

Paramount Plus announced that the animated series “Big Nate” will debut early next year. The series is from Nickelodeon Animation Studio and is based on the children’s books and comic strip written and drawn by Lincoln Peirce.

Bryce Charles (Black-ish) and newcomer Tate Moore have booked series-regular roles in Woman Up, ABC’s comedy pilot from Life in Pieces star Zoe Lister-Jones, Single Parents co-creator Liz Meriwether, Jason Winer and Single Parents producer 20th Century Fox TV.

Written and directed by Lister-Jones, Woman Up is about two former teen moms, played by Mary Elizabeth Ellis and Tawny Newsome, who have worked their asses off to see their daughters all the way through high school graduation. And now, at 35, they’re ready to make up for the youth they never had.

Charles will play young Liz (Ellis), and Charles is young Phoebe (Newsome).

Cast also includes previously announced series regulars Abby Quinn, Gabrielle Elyse, Kym Whitley and Leon Thomas.
