Michael George Tanner was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Lourdes High School in Rochester, Minnesota. He got his bachelor's in political science with a minor in theater arts at Portland State University, where he got connected to the Pacific Northwest film market. He has been in several productions, which include "American Vandal" (2018), "The Birch" (2019), and "Trinkets" (2020).
