Big viewers of the CW in the 2010's may have caught this reunion in Maggie Q's newest show Ballard, a spin-off of the wildly popular Bosch. In Ballard, Q reunited with her Nikita co-star Noah Bean. Q played the titular role of Nikita and Bean played Ryan Fletcher. When talking with Collider's Aidan Kelley at the premiere of Ballard, Bean reminisced about his time with Q on Nikita as well as the energy that she brought to the set of Ballard. He explains his character, Jake Pearlman, a city councilman, brings together the cold case team Detective Renee Ballard is now on as she navigates her new place in the LAPD. He says "it was like a total homecoming." As Bean explains, there were similarities as he worked on Ballard between his and Q's characters on both that show and Nikita.

Ahead of the premiere of Ballard, the Bosch spin-off, lead Maggie Q is breaking down some of the special moments eagle-eyed fans noticed in the trailer for the series, premiering July 9 on Prime Video. In the trailer, Renée Ballard, who we saw in the Bosch: Legacy series finale, is adjusting to her life in Cold Cases. As Ballard is told that there are any number of people who have stopped believing in her ability to do her job, there's a pan to a group of people in an LAPD office, featuring a familiar face for those who know Maggie Q from the CW series, Nikita. Dead center is actor Noah Bean, who played Ryan Fletcher in the series. Q played the titular role, Nikita, in the show based on La Femme Nikita. In an interview with TV Line, Q talks about her new show as well as reuniting with Bean.

In a recent appearance at Fan Expo Philadelphia, Superman & Lois actress Bitsie Tulloch discussed why she feels the show stands out in a sea of other Superman adaptations. Along with Tulloch, the series starred Tyler Hoechlin as a slightly older Superman, while their sons, Jonathan and Jordan, were played by Michael Bishop and Alex Garfin, respectively. As a result, Superman & Lois focused more on how Lois and Clark would adapt to the challenges of parenthood, cancer, and other more realistic life problems.

During a panel moderated by Screen Rant's Joe Deckelmeier called "Being Super With The Cast Of Superman & Lois," Tulloch explained: "Even in the pilot episode, it just was so grounded, and, you know, we had the benefit and the luck and grace of being parents to teenagers." She then pointed out how "especially [in] season one" the show focused "on Jordan's social anxiety disorder" and another heavy topic such as Lois miscarrying.

Superman & Loisstar Michael Cudlitz recently unpacked how it felt to take on the iconic role of Lex Luthor as well as how the fan response to his portrayal affected him. The actor debuted his brutal version of the DC villain in season 3 before becoming a more prominent presence in season 4 after joining the main cast. Other stars include Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Bitsie Tulloch as Lois Lane, Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent, and Michael Bishop as Jonathan Kent, among others.

Speaking to ScreenRant, Garfin discussed what he had intended to pitch to the showrunners of Superman & Lois for a potential fifth season of the hit Superman series. "Superman deals with the physical [while] Lois, a lot of times, deals with the emotional issues and the more interpersonal issues, and we see how the interpersonal issues can manifest in a physical way," Garfin explained. "In fact, I had a pitch that I was going to do for Season 5. So I was going to pitch this, and Tyler actually liked it so much he was going to pitch it with me, because I was 19 at the time, but he really believed in this idea."

Superman & Lois ended its four-season run with a rollercoaster of a series finale. While the episode includes many emotional moments, showrunners Brent Fletcher and Todd Helbing, say Doomsday's death was the most poetic.

Doomsday, also known as Bizarro Superman, dies after facing off with Superman one final time. After he was defeated, the antagonist sent his evil counterpart into the sun. "I think by the end, Doomsday's life had been denigrated down to just pain, suffering, dying, and hate," Fletcher told ComicBook about the character's merciful death. "He was always raging. And so, what the end is for us, I think, is release. Release from all the hatred and the pain, and an acknowledgment between these two that they shared something."

The character is based on the New God Glorious Godfrey, who first appeared in The Forever People #3 in 1971 and is intended to embody the type of powerful, charismatic speaker who can talk people into justifying violence and evil. Superman & Lois fans finally got to see Michael Cudlitz embrace Lex Luthor's classic comic book look in Season 4, Episode 8, "Sharp Dressed Man." According to the actor, appearing in a tailored suit with a shaved head and no beard felt like a full-circle moment.

"It was awesome. I felt like we'd come full circle, finishing up the season with this iconic, traditional, current-day Lex look," Cudlitz told Entertainment Weekly. "The way I shot the beginning, the cold opening, I really wanted to have it be just a complete reveal for the audience. It's an incredible reveal visually, because everybody's been wanting this Lex and asking, where is it? And even the people who early on were not happy about the beard, they've come around, most of them."

To top things off, Clark has also been aging. This leaves the Kryptonian pondering if he can stop the behemoth later on, as well as take down Lex Luthor's empire. Luckily, Episode 6, "When the Lights Come On," has Clark toughing it out under dire circumstances to get a much-needed victory.

Last November, James Gunn cast Skyler Gisondon as the Dcu's Jimmy Olsen in Superman. However, he's not the only actor to have recently been picked to play the Man of Steel's best pal, as Douglas Smith will show up as the beloved Daily Planet photographer in Superman & Lois' final season.

This version of the character has previously been described as an "extroverted 20-something" known for being "the 'life of the party' around the office." The site adds, "Despite being work colleagues with Clark, he’s been unable to get him out of his 'awkward' shell. Unaware of Clark’s super-secret, Jimmy’s still determined to become his pal."

In a clip from episode 7 - titled "A Regular Guy" - we see an enthusiastic Jimmy attempt to befriend Clark Kent ahead of a softball game. However, he doesn't have much luck given the hero's reluctance to risk revealing his powers to the world.
