Jeffrey Harmon, Chief Content Officer of faith-skewed upstart development, film finance and distribution company Angel Studios, swapped home city Provo in Utah for London this week.

The exec touched down in the UK capital for a gala screening on Sunday of episodes one and two of Paul Syrstad’s series Testament. The contemporary adaptation of the biblical New Testament tome, the Acts of the Apostles is shot against the backdrop of London.

“The entire team behind Testament is London-based. They filmed it here in London, they’re all from the UK. We came here to celebrate the launch with the team,” says Harmon, co-founder of Angel Studios with brothers Neal, Daniel and Jordan Harmon, as well as cousin, Benton Crane.

The MTV series Teen Wolf – which was loosely inspired by the 1985 comedy film Teen Wolf (watch our Awfully Good video on that movie Here) – wrapped up its six season run back in 2017, and back in January it got a feature film follow-up on the Paramount+ streaming service. Variety reports that the streaming service has submitted Teen Wolf: The Movie for Emmys consideration in the following categories: Outstanding Television Movie, Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (Tyler Posey), Directing (Russell Mulcahy), Writing, Prosthetic Makeup and Original Music and Lyrics (“Lemon” by Tyler Posey).

Since Posey was also a producer on the film, Variety notes that these submissions give him three chances to earn an Emmy nod.

Paramount+ has spooked up two hits with debuts “Teen Wolf: The Movie” and “Wolf Pack,” both of which hail from MTV Entertainment Studios, creator Jeff Davis (who’s under a multi-year deal at the studio) and MGM.

The former — a film revival of the beloved 2011 young-adult supernatural series that reunites a majority of the cast, including stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin — broke the streamer’s record for the most-watched original move in the first day of its debut.

The latter, which stars and is executive produced by Sarah Michelle Gellar, marked the platform’s most-viewed YA show since the “iCarly” reboot, making it the No. 2 YA series premiere overall in its first 24 hours.

Riddle me this: Is a Teen Wolf still a Teen Wolf when he becomes a full-grown “Man Wolf”?

That’s essentially the premise of Teen Wolf‘s comeback movie which brings Tyler Posey’s Scott McCall back on our screens for the first time since 2017.

Now in his mid-thirties, our not-so-Teen Wolf is still the Alpha, but Beacon Hills is no longer the place it once was. Fifteen years or so have passed since everyone last walked off together dramatically on the long-running MTV series. Jumping ahead to 2026, Scott’s pack has now been scattered by the years and circumstance — as well as real-life issues offscreen too.

That’s right. A lot of your faves are back, including some faces you might not be expecting, but there are a couple of key players missing, and the film does suffer a bit for it.

In its heyday, Teen Wolf was massively popular and one of MTV's few successful scripted dramas, which led to the series getting its very own film continuation in Teen Wolf: The Movie. Based very loosely on the 80s movie of the same name, Teen Wolf managed to find lightning in a bottle with its charming and charismatic young cast, who brought to life the increasingly ludicrous supernatural world of Beacon Hills with tremendous heart. The film will take place after Teen Wolf's conclusion, which stars Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), a typical high school student who finds his life completely changed after being bitten by a werewolf and transformed forever. The ending of Teen Wolf season 6 left an opportunity for the show's continuation completely open in the wake of its cancelation. With Scott leading his own pack, he invites a new wolf into the gang and insinuates that he will always need to be able to protect them from hunters.

Fans of Teen Wolf were given an almighty treat during Brazil's Comic Con Xperience (Ccxp) on Sunday.

Oh, and there was even a treat for potential fans of Wolf Pack, the new series from the Jeff Davis, the creator of Teen Wolf.

Both Teen Wolf and Wolf Pack are set to premiere Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada.

The film, written and produced by Jeff Davis, will premiere the following day on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.K. and Australia.

In Latin America and Brazil, the film will be available early next year. Premiere dates for other Paramount+ international markets will be announced at a later date.

The “Teen Wolf” movie has a premiere date!

The anticipated film, which members of the original cast, will drop Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, it was announced Friday at New York Comic Con. It will be available on the streaming service the following day on Friday, Jan. 27 in the U.K., Latin America and Australia.

Release dates for other international territories will be announced later.

Paramount+ has announced that the upcoming original film Teen Wolf: The Movie will premiere Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada. The film, written and produced by Jeff Davis, will premiere the following day on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.K., Latin America, and Australia. Premiere dates for other Paramount+ international markets will be announced at a later date. Paramount+ also revealed a first look clip from the film during the joint Teen Wolf: The Movie and Wolf Pack panel at New York Comic Con. The Teen Wolf: The Movie panel featured a conversation between writer and executive producer Jeff Davis and cast members Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Crystal Reed, Colton Haynes, Vince Mattis, Khylin Rhambo, Amy Workman and Dylan Sprayberry. It was quite the Teen Wolf cast reunion at the 2022 New York Comic Con on October 7th. Series creator Jeff Davis joined his returning Teen Wolf stars Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes, Shelley Hennig, Dylan Sprayberry, and Khylin Rhambo for a packed Teen Wolf: The Movie panel at Javits Center. Teen Wolf newcomers Vince Mattis and Amy Workman also took the stage for the half-hour panel.

Writer/executive producer Jeff Davis kicked off the panel discussing the inspiration for Teen Wolf: The Movie. “One thought was could we bring Crystal Reed back? I always said if we were going to do a movie, we would have to bring Crystal Reed back. And so the idea started percolating and I said to Crystal over text – actually on Instagram it was – and I said, ‘Are you ready to pick up the bow and arrow again?’ And we talked and there was magic still there.

The beloved show Teen Wolf may have ended in 2017 but luckily for us, the story continues in a new movie premiering on Thursday, January 26, 2023 on Paramount+. With the trailer debuting at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, more details are starting to materialize.

TV Insider sat down with creator, Jeff Davis, and stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin about the project.

Davis revealed that "the studio wanted it," speaking of the formal pickup to the outlet.

Posey, who plays Scott McCall, said that he "wouldn't stop bugging him [Davis] about it."

Davis also said that there was the option of him not writing the movie, but he wanted to.

“I’m like, ‘I’m writing this. Nobody else is writing this,'” he shared.

“That’s always fun to do, to see where are [the characters now] now and to create a story off of that.”

Teen Wolf: The Movie reunited the MTV series’ leads for a panel at 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, where the first trailer was screened for the upcoming Paramount+ film, and the event ended with a surprise visit from Sarah Michelle Gellar.

The action-packed footage featured familiar favorites Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) in dire straits. The teaser trailer teases some big returns, but one that is sure to get the fans talking is the return of Allison Argent.

Allison died on Teen Wolf Season 3, but it sounds like there's a reason for her miraculous return from the dead.
