The first season of Netflix’sThe Four Seasons, starring Tina Fey, was quickly renewed for a second season on the streamer. The show was a hit for Netflix and, after its premiere, was No. 1 on Netflix’s English TV Showslist with 24.4 million views. The show, which follows the stories of three couples who are longtime friends after their friend group gets a wrench thrown in it when one of the couples decides to split up, has a 77% on Rotten Tomatoes.

During the last couple of days, several networks and platforms have been unveiling their renewal slate and release schedule for the rest of 2025. Be it Bravo announcing the return of most of their top shows and ordering four new exciting series, or Peacock unveiling their top notch reality show slate.

Fox and ABC have also shared which of their top shows will be returning be it culinary and singing reality shows or media franchises and scripted series. NBC is not far behind either with the announcements of its release schedule and renewals. Here’s which ones will be returning to the channel.

NBC: Law & Order, Chicago Fire, The Voice & More

Some of NBC’s most popular series are returning for new seasons which includes Chicago Fire season 14, Chicago Pd season 13, and Chicago Med season 11. All of them are slated to premiere this year during the fall.

NBC’s announcement of its upcoming fall 2025 primetime lineup confirmed the network’s renewed Brilliant Minds with Zachary Quinto and The Hunting Party starring Melissa Roxburgh. The two returning dramas join new episodes of the Chicago trio as well as Law & Order and Law & Order Svu on the network’s September/October 2025 lineup.

The fall lineup kicks off in September with the return of The Voice, with Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire coaching season 28. October brings the NBA back to NBC, and then in November the network debuts new seasons of returning comedies Happy’s Place and St. Denis Medical.

A reunion of 30 Rock alums is officially a go at NBC.

The network has given a series order to The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, created by Tina Fey and starring Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe. The comedy, which was first announced in March, follows Reggie Dinkins (Morgan), a disgraced football player trying to rehabilitate his image and make it into the Hall of Fame. Radcliffe plays Arthur Tobin, a filmmaker who moves in with Reggie to make an immersive documentary about the former superstar running back.

The series reunites Fey and Morgan, who starred together on seven seasons of 30 Rock, along with fellow 30 Rock alums Robert Carlock and Sam Means, who will serve as executive producers alongside Fey and Morgan. Carlock and Means co-wrote the pilot.

Tracy Morgan is headed back to NBC, and Daniel Radcliffe is coming with him. The duo will star in a previously untitled sitcom from Morgan's Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock colleague Tina Fey, which is now called The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. Variety reports the half-hour comedy has been picked up to series by NBC, who also released the first image from the series.

In the first image, Morgan (playing the titular Dinkins) sits on a park bench with Radcliffe and co-star Erika Alexander (Living Single). Morgan will play Reggie Dinkins, a disgraced running back trying to rehabilitate his image. The 30 Rock reunion of former star Tracy Morgan, creator, star and co-showrunner Tina Fey, co-showrunner Robert Carlock and writer Sam Means has been extended. The network has picked up the quartet’s single-camera comedy pilot, also starring Daniel Radcliffe, to series, which will be titled The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.

I hear the order is for 10 episodes. That typically indicates a midseason launch but NBC has not specified when the series will premiere. The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is not on the fall 2025 schedule unveiled by NBC in conjunction with its upfront presentation today, which only covers September and October. It could debut as soon as November, Steven Kern, SVP Program Planning & Scheduling, NBCUniversal Entertainment, indicated during a pre-upfront press call Saturday.

In November, the network plans to add sophomore comedies St. Denis Medical on Monday at 8 Pm and Happy’s Place in its old Friday 8 Pm slot.

Another Suits vet is headed to the City of Angels.

David Costabile, who played co-founding law firm partner Daniel Hardman on the USA Network drama, will reprise his role on NBC’s Suits LA, our sister site Variety reports. Details about his guest spot are not currently available.

Exclusive: Precious Way (Heist 88) and Jalyn Hall (Till) have joined the cast of Tracy Morgan’s untitled NBC comedy pilot from Tina Fey, Robert Carlock and writer Sam Means.

Written by Carlock and Means, the comedy stars Morgan as Reggie, a disgraced former football player on a mission to rehabilitate his image.

The pair joins previously announced cast members Erika Alexander as Monica, Reggie’s childhood sweetheart from Brooklyn who co-parents with him and still is his agent and business manager, even though they divorced years ago; Daniel Radcliffe as Arthur Tobin, an award-winning filmmaker who moves into Reggie’s mansion to film an immersive documentary about the former star running back; and Bobby Moynihan as Gator, Reggie’s loyal former teammate who has always stuck with him even when things went sideways.

Netflix Releases “Rustin” Trailer

Netflix has released the trailer of the highly anticipated “Rustin,” starring Colman Domingo.

The biopic tells the story of Bayard Rustin, the architect of 1963’s historic March on Washington, serving alongside giants such as Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., Adam Clayton Powell Jr., and Ella Baker as they dared to dream a better world. Per the logline, “He challenged authority, never apologized for who he was, what he believed, or who he desired. And he did not back down. He made history, and in turn, he was forgotten.”

Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe (“Ma Rainey's Black Bottom”) returns to the streamer to direct the biopic written by Julian Breece and Dustin Lance Black. The film features an all-star cast including Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, Gus Halper, Cch Pounder, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Johnny Ramey, Michael Potts, Jeffrey Wright, and Audra McDonald.

The Courtney B. Vance-fronted Showtime original film “Heist 88” will debut next month on Paramount+, followed by a premiere on the linear pay cable channel. The story chronicles a master criminal who arranges an $80 million bank job prior to beginning a prison sentence. The film, produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Bassett Vance Productions and Gunpowder & Sky, will debut on Paramount+ with Showtime beginning Sept. 29. It’ll make its linear debut on Showtime on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 9:00 p.m.

Written by Dwayne Johnson-Cochran and directed by Menhaj Huda, “Heist 88” is inspired by true events. The film features Vance as Jeremy Horne who can convince anyone to do anything. He recruits four bank employees to partake in a mega-bucks heist. Taking place before the advent of modern computerization and cybersecurity, it reunites Vance with Keesha Sharp. She portrayed Dale Cochran in “The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

A series of changes have taken place at Showtime. Variety has confirmed the network has canceled “Ziwe” after just two seasons and has picked up Mandy Patinkin’s “Seasoned” to series, delivering a six-episode order.

Hosted and executive produced by comedian Ziwe Fumudoh, the talk show focused on presenting trending hot topics concerning race, politics and other cultural issues as well as musical numbers, interviews, guest stars and comedic sketches. Guests on Season 2 included Drew Barrymore, Rowan Blanchard, Blake Griffin, Emily Ratajkowski and Mia Khalifa, among others. The series first debuted in 2021.

With the loss, that leaves Showtime without a current late night talk show following the cancellation of “Desus & Mero” (which Ziwe also served as a writer on before moving to her own show). Exclusive: Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance’s film Heist 88, which had been earmarked for Paramount+, will be moving to Showtime, Deadline has learned. Additionally, I hear the network has made decisions on two of its three comedy pilots, handing a six-episode series order to Seasoned, starring Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody, and passing on The Wood, based on the 1999 feature film. Showtime also has opted not to renew Ziwe, hosted and executive produced by comedian Ziwe Fumudoh, for a third season.

Paramount Television Studios, which produces The Wood, will be shopping it elsewhere.

Original movies were a staple on Showtime in the 1980s, 90s and 2000s until the network shifted to original series. Christopher B. Stokes, the directors of such films as House Party 4, You Got Served, Somebody Help Me, Somebody Help Me 2, The Stepmother, and The Stepmother 2, is about to send four more movies out into the world over the course of just three months – and it’s all thanks to the Tubi streaming service. Continuing to get into original programming (previous Tubi originals include the Terror Train remake and its sequel), Tubi has teamed up with Footage Films to bring four “Black cinema thrillers” to their service. Stokes has directed all four of the movies and wrote the scripts for each one with Marques Houston.

The four upcoming thrillers are directed by Christopher B. Stokes from scripts the filmmaker co-wrote with Marques Houston. Stokes and Houston also serve as executive producers on the films, with Footage Films president Juanita Stokes as producer. Tubi has previously worked with Footage Films on several original films, including “The Stepmother” and “The Stepmother 2.”

Courtney B. Vance and Angela Bassett have renewed their overall deal with MTV Entertainment Studios through their production banner Bassett Vance Productions.

Along with the renewal news, Paramount also announced that the pair’s first feature film from their overall deal, “Heist 88,” is currently in production. The film tells the story of one of the largest bank heists ever to occur in the United States.

Here’s a description: Jeremy Horne (Vance), a criminal mastermind with an innate ability to convince anyone to do just about anything, decides to pull one last job before going to prison. He recruits four young bank employees to steal close to 80 million dollars in a daring and brazen assault on the US banking system. “Heist 88” takes place in a time before widespread computerization and the vast cybersecurity of today.

Way will play the character of Luscious T in the series that follows the trials of an up-and-coming female high school rapper and social media sensation who thinks she is the best thing to happen to the rap game since Cardi B.
