Warner Music Group has named Alejandro Duque as the next president of its distribution arm Ada, the company announced Wednesday.

The news comes a day after Cat Kreidich wrote in an internal memo to staff that she’d be stepping down after four years at the helm.

Along with his new role at Ada, Duque will continue his role as Latin America president. Latin music is one of the fastest growing areas in the industry, while distribution has become an area of increased focus for labels to grow their market share, putting Duque at the helm of two of the more high-profile divisions of the company. He will continue to be based out of Miami.

“Alejandro’s leadership will help us differentiate Ada … providing independent labels and artists with opportunities at a speed and scale they won’t find anywhere else,” Wmg CEO Robert Kyncl said in a statement. “He...

Michelada Fest, a Latin music festival in Chicago, has canceled its 2025 event citing “uncertainty around artist visas and the shifting political climate” under the Trump Administration.

Among the artists who were slated to perform at the festival were Grupo Firme, Anitta and Danny Ocean. Also on the bill was Mexican band Los Alegres del Barranco, whose visas were revoked last month over images during their shows that U.S. deputy secretary of state Christopher Landau said “glorified” drug cartel leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, better known as El Mencho.

“This was not an easy decision for us to make,” the festival wrote on social media on Tuesday. “Your trust, time and hard-earned dollars mean everything to us, and we believe in giving you the experience you deserve. Canceling affects more than just us. It also impacts the local vendors, small businesses, artists and community partners who help bring this fest to life.

Michelada Fest is canceling its 2025 edition. On Tuesday, the Chicago-based festival, scheduled for mid-July, announced it will not go forward with its event due to visa issues affecting Mexican corrido artists under the Trump administration.

Time may have passed, but George Clooney is still up to his old shenanigans. Or at least back to playing career criminal Danny Ocean again.

Speaking in an interview with The New York Times, the Academy Award-winning actor teased the latest installment in the long-running franchise, which would serve as a follow-up to “Ocean’s Thirteen.”

“It’s like we’re all too old to do the jobs we used to be able to do,” Clooney said.

Clooney previously spoke of the project in an interview with Uproxx back in December 2023, where he compared the script to the 1979 comedy “Going in Style,” starring George Burns, Art Carney, and Lee Strasberg. At the Los Angeles premiere of “Wolfs” back in September 2024, he also told E! News that he’d gotten the rest of the old team on board to return.

“We have a really good script,” said Clooney. “Everyone’s read it and ready to do it.

In January 2025, it was reported that David Leitch was in talks to direct Warner Bros.' Ocean's 14. However, the long-awaited heist sequel will reportedly not be the next movie Leitch makes.

Instead, per Deadline, Leitch has signed on to direct an untitled bank heist action movie. The project is moving quickly toward production at Amazon. Plot details remain under wraps. Mark Bianculli, whose credits include Hunters, Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector, and the upcoming Cliffhanger reboot, wrote the screenplay. Leitch will also produce with Kelly McCormick under their 87North banner, alongside Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum, with Bianculli serving as executive producer of the project.

Some of Latin music’s biggest stars have set foot in Miami to celebrate Premio Lo Nuestro 2025.

The TelevisaUnivision award show will take place at the Kaseya Center. Laura Pausini, Thalia, and Alejandra Espinoza will host the main ceremony.

Will Smith is confirmed to perform at the event’s opening alongside India Martínez, DJ Khaled, Thalía, and the legendary Miami Sound Machine.

Performers scheduled for the musical celebration include Ángela Aguilar, Arthur Hanlon, Camilo, Carín León, Danny Ocean, Darell, Kapo, Natti Natasha, Yami Safdie, and Yotuel.

Other artists who will take the stage include Alejandro Sanz, Becky G, Guaynaa, Ha*Ash, Los Ángeles Azules, Prince Royce, and Venesti.

With the next film in the Ocean’s franchise in pre-production, original stars Brad Pitt and George Clooney are excited about the prospect of it and are reportedly happy with the “really good” script that has been finalized. Will Smith is set to make his performing debut on the Univision awards show Premio Lo Nuestro, which will broadcast live Feb. 20.

The Grammy winner will take the stage to perform his newly released single, “First Love,” a collaboration between Smith and Spanish singer-songwriter India Martínez. This will mark the rapper’s first performance in the history of the show and the TV debut of the new track.

Smith will be joined by Martínez, DJ Khaled and previously announced performer Thalia, accompanied by Miami Sound Machine, to open the 37th edition of the show.

The awards ceremony is set to air live Thursday starting at 7 p.m. Et/8 p.m. Ct on Univision, UNIMÁS and ViX.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, former stuntman turned director and producer David Leitch is in talks with Warner Bros. and/or George Clooney's Smokehouse Productions to direct the hotly-anticipated Ocean's 14. The film is expected to mark the return of Clooney as thief extraordinaire Danny Ocean, as well as the returns of Casey Affleck and Matt Damon as mechanic Virgil Malloy and pickpocket Linus Caldwell, respectively.

Back in September, Deadline hinted that Conclave director Edward Berger might take the reins for the long-awaited Ocean’s 14. At the time, we knew it was far from a done deal, and now it seems Berger is officially out of the picture.

But, as you may recall, at the time we did advise taking about a shovel's worth of salt with Deadline's reporting as it was very early doors in the negotiation process. And it's just as well that we did, because Deadline's latest update is a real bad news, good news situation. The bad news is Berger won't be masterminding Danny Ocean's big screen comeback; the good news is that John Wick co-creator and The Fall Guy filmmaker David Leitch might be.

According to Deadline, whose sources confirm an initial exclusive from hit-and-miss Hollywood scooper Jeff Sneider, Leitch is in early talks to direct the fourth film in the mainline Ocean's franchise, which would also mark the first not to be helmed by Steven Soderbergh.
