Warner Music Group Names Alejandro Duque New President of Ada
Image
Warner Music Group has named Alejandro Duque as the next president of its distribution arm Ada, the company announced Wednesday.

The news comes a day after Cat Kreidich wrote in an internal memo to staff that she’d be stepping down after four years at the helm.

Along with his new role at Ada, Duque will continue his role as Latin America president. Latin music is one of the fastest growing areas in the industry, while distribution has become an area of increased focus for labels to grow their market share, putting Duque at the helm of two of the more high-profile divisions of the company. He will continue to be based out of Miami.

“Alejandro’s leadership will help us differentiate Ada … providing independent labels and artists with opportunities at a speed and scale they won’t find anywhere else,” Wmg CEO Robert Kyncl said in a statement. “He...

F1 Box Office: Brad Pitt’s Magnum Opus Crosses Ocean’s Eleven, But It Can’t Match This Benchmark
Image
F1 Surpasses Ocean’s Eleven Box Office Globally (Photo Credit – Prime Video/Instagram)

Brad Pitt’s high-octane Formula One sports drama F1 is speeding toward the coveted $500 million mark at the global box office. The film has already raked in nearly $154 million in the U.S. and over $309 million internationally, bringing its worldwide total to an impressive $463 million (according to Box Office Mojo).

#F1TheMovie Rocks! Joseph Kosinski knocks it out of the park in directing some killer racing scenes and the sound design is top-notch. An exceptional cast as well, with Javier Bardem being a major standout and Brad Pitt in maximum cool guy mode. See it in IMAX! pic.twitter.com/Alt68jzU9d

— Nate Richard (@NateKnowsMovies) June 17, 2025

And in doing that, F1: The Movie has now surpassed the worldwide box office of Steven Soderbergh’s cult heist film Ocean’s Eleven (2001), whose ensemble cast also featured Brad Pitt in a prominent role.

Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven Has A Big Plot Hole You Can't Unsee
Image
Few films embody the term "lightning in a bottle" quite like Steven Soderbergh's "Ocean's Eleven." This remake of the famous Rat Pack flick of the same name was a surprising pick for Soderbergh's follow up to his blockbuster 2000. Having broken onto the scene with the Palme d'Or winning "Sex, Lies, and Videotape" in 1989, Soderbergh worked his way through the studio system making a series of film's that struggled to recapture the heat of his debut picture.

That all changed in 2000, when Soderbergh didn't just blow up the box office not just once, but twice. First, with the Julia Roberts vehicle "Erin Brockovich," telling the true underdog story of a paralegal with a push up bra taking on the powerful California gas company Pg&e, followed shortly thereafter with "Traffic," a three-pronged story about the illegal drug trade in the United States.

Both films grossed over $250 million worldwide. "Erin Brockovich...

"That's More Than a Whisper": Andy Garcia Confirms 'Ocean's 14' Is In The Works [Exclusive]
Image
Andy Garcia just dropped the smoothest confirmation at the Newport Beach TV Festival: Ocean’s 14 is happening — and it’s more than just the usual Hollywood rumour mill. In an exclusive conversation with Collider’s Aidan Kelley, the Landman and Ocean’s franchise star didn’t hesitate when asked if he’d return to the role of Terry Benedict, the Vegas mogul-turned-reluctant ally of Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt).

“That seems to be — that’s more than a whisper, I think. I think they’re just finding the time where everybody can do it, I think. Or specifically, I guess, Brad and George. But yeah, it’s out there.”

While Garcia doesn't outright confirm he'll be reprising his sly franchise villain for another film, the casual confirmation comes hot on the heels of recent reports that Bullet Train and Deadpool 2 director David Leitch is in...

Al Pacino Cashed In on this $311M Film, While Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones Snubbed It
Image
Al Pacino is easily the epitome of a legendary actor, having received eight Academy Award nominations. The actor rose to prominence as a leading man in the 1970s and remained a bankable name well into the 21st century. As a result, it isn’t a surprise that when the opportunity arose, the actor cashed in on a $311 million hit.

On the other hand, the same movie was expected to feature Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones. However, the actresses opted not to return for this third installment of the franchise. Here is why Al Pacino decided to join the cast of this 2007 movie while Roberts and Zeta-Jones opted to sit out from the blockbuster.

Al Pacino revealed the real reason he joined Ocean’s Thirteen

Chicago’s Michelada Fest Canceled Over “Uncertainty Around Artist Visas”
Image
Michelada Fest, a Latin music festival in Chicago, has canceled its 2025 event citing “uncertainty around artist visas and the shifting political climate” under the Trump Administration.

Among the artists who were slated to perform at the festival were Grupo Firme, Anitta and Danny Ocean. Also on the bill was Mexican band Los Alegres del Barranco, whose visas were revoked last month over images during their shows that U.S. deputy secretary of state Christopher Landau said “glorified” drug cartel leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, better known as El Mencho.

“This was not an easy decision for us to make,” the festival wrote on social media on Tuesday. “Your trust, time and hard-earned dollars mean everything to us, and we believe in giving you the experience you deserve. Canceling affects more than just us. It also impacts the local vendors, small businesses, artists and community partners who help bring this fest to life.

Brad Pitt’s Total Payout for Playing Rusty Ryan in Ocean’s Eleven Revealed
Image
When you think of Brad Pitt, what comes to mind? Handsome? Check. Talented? Undoubtedly. But it’s also worth noting that the actor has also made a pretty penny throughout his Hollywood career. One of his most iconic roles? That would be his depiction of Rusty Ryan in the Ocean’s franchise.

The Ocean’s Eleven movie in 2001 made huge ripples in Tinseltown, and Pitt’s role was just one part of what made it so indelible. But here’s the thing: just how much did Pitt make for playing Rusty Ryan? That’s the real question we’re here to answer.

Pitt has had a career that’s made him a superstar. From his early days in Thelma & Louise to being a producer on major hits like 12 Years a Slave, he’s accomplished it all. And when he got entangled in Ocean’s Eleven? Well, that turned out to...

If ‘Now You See Me’ Franchise Is About Heists, They Could’ve Learn a Thing or Two From the ‘Oceans’ Movie Series
Image
Lionsgate has released the first trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, the third movie in its magic-fueled heist franchise. The trailer is packed with flashy illusions, fast cuts, and a new generation of performers. But three movies in, it’s worth asking whether the magic act has truly mastered the art of the con.

With its latest installment on the horizon, the movie series continues to dazzle with spectacle yet struggles to deliver the clever precision that defines the genre’s best. If Now You See Me is truly about heists, it might be time the franchise took a few notes from the Ocean’s movie series, where clever antics make the magic real.

Brad Pitt Didn’t Just Star in Ocean’s Eleven, He Helped Turn It Into a Box Office Powerhouse! [Box Office Rewind]
Image
Brad Pitt Didn’t Just Star in Ocean’s Eleven ( Photo Credit – Prime Video )

When Ocean’s Eleven rolled the dice in 2001, it wasn’t just another glitzy heist movie. It was Brad Pitt’s masterclass in how to steal scenes without breaking a sweat. Sure, the cast was stacked with Hollywood royalty, Clooney, Roberts, Damon, but Pitt? He was the secret weapon. As Rusty Ryan, he didn’t just play second-in-command; he became the smooth-talking, snack-munching soul of the film. His effortless charm turned what could’ve been a one-off into a cultural reset for cool.

But Pitt wasn’t just there for the close-ups; he was instrumental behind the scenes too, helping shape the vibe, chemistry, and laid-back wit that made Ocean’s Eleven a genre-defining hit. It wasn’t just a reboot, it was a Brad Pitt blueprint. The kind of star power that makes a movie sparkle before the first line is even delivered.

George Clooney’s New Transformation Divides the Internet
Image
Only four people have been named People’s Magazine’s Sexiest Man of the Year on two separate occasions. Richard Gere, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, and George Clooney. You would probably find all four of those men in most women’s top-10 hottest actors list, without a question. But if there’s one guy who defined the term Silver Fox in Hollywood, it’s Gorgeous George. And this goes without any disrespect to Mr. Gere.

But what happens when your Silver Fox isn’t all that… silver anymore? Well, that is the current situation a lot of fans are dealing with, since Clooney is donning an entirely different ‘do. The Ocean’s ringleader has ditched his signature salt-and-pepper look for a darker, more clean-cut image. Now, he has his reasons. But will those reasons fly with the legions who swooned for the silver?

Ocean’s Eleven Casinos: The Real-Life Venues Behind the Classic Heist
Image
Released in 2001, Ocean’s Eleven is the quintessential Las Vegas heist film — a slick, high-stakes caper that reintroduced casino glamour to a new generation of moviegoers.

With a sharp script, a star-studded ensemble cast, and a plot that unfolds across some of the most iconic properties on the Las Vegas Strip, it’s no wonder the film remains a cult favourite over two decades later.

But while the plot may be fiction, the casinos are very real. The researchers at Wizard Slots have taken a closer look at the real-world venues that inspired the movie, how they were featured, and why they still captivate visitors to this day.

The Three Casinos at the Heart of Ocean’s Eleven

In Ocean’s Eleven, the crew sets their sights on not one, but three major Las Vegas casinos — all supposedly owned by the film’s antagonist, Terry Benedict.

Here’s the line-up:

It’s Not Barbie 2, Ryan Gosling Is Reuniting With Margot Robbie for a Blockbuster Franchise
Image
You probably thought the next time Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling would share screen time, it’d be in hot pink convertibles with more glitter than the plot. But surprise! This is not another Barbie movie. Instead, the two are sliding into tailored suits, vintage cars, and potentially, casino vaults, because they’re teaming up for a prequel to the Ocean’s Eleven franchise.

Yep, that Ocean’s Eleven. The one with all the suave criminal masterminding and jazz-heavy montages of people looking very serious while eating shrimp cocktails. Now, before you imagine Ken trying to crack a safe while Barbie distracts a security guard with jazz hands, take a deep breath. This is not a dollhouse caper.

Every Steven Soderbergh Movie, Ranked
Image
Steven Soderbergh has done everything, from heist flicks to artsy experiments and everything in between. With a decades-spanning career, this Oscar-winning director has made films that are as wildly diverse as they are memorable. Whether it’s the sleek charm of Ocean’s Eleven or the gritty realness of Traffic, Soderbergh has a knack for keeping us guessing. One minute, he’s giving us big-budget blockbusters; the next, he’s diving headfirst into indie territory with handheld cameras and tiny crews. Who does that? Steven Soderbergh, that’s who.

Ranking the movies of the Swiss Army knife of filmmakers feels almost unfair because each one carries its own unique vibe. From star-studded casts to experimental narratives, there’s always something surprising in his work. Love action-packed thrillers? He’s got you covered. Prefer something slow, cerebral, and artsy? He’s got those, too. And let’s not forget his playful, offbeat...

Why Robert De Niro's 'The Alto Knights' Is Controversial
Image
Warner Brothers is seemingly on a never-ending quest of cancelations and removals. After being completed, WB shelved Batgirl. The same goes for Coyote vs. Acme, an animated live-action combining Looney Tuneswith the real world (even though Ketchup Entertainment is now in talks to release it). The entirety of the available Looney Tunes cartoons was recently removed from Max as well. It's clear that the world-renowned film studio is changing gears, now prioritizing movies that can potentially surge at the box office.

There are some big hitters coming up to bat. First, there's F1 starring Brad Pitt and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Then, One Battle After Another with Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn. Finally, the Oceans' prequel, which brings in Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as parents to Danny Ocean. Then there's also The Alto Knights, a mob movie where the timeless Robert De Niro plays two characters. Directed by Barry Levinson...

5 of the Most Hilarious On-Set Pranks
Image
Making a blockbuster film can be stressful, so it’s important to keep things light sometimes. To that end, it’s not uncommon for actors, directors and other on-set personnel to prank each other, but the true legends go far beyond whoopie cushions and snakes in a can. We’re talking psychological warfare, or at least impressive automotive relocation.

Being surrounded by teenagers can turn even the most British of seasoned actors into children. In a Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban scene where all the Hogwarts students are supposed to be sleeping in bags in the Great Hall, Gambon and Rickman planted a “fart machine” in Radcliffe’s sleeping bag, setting it off with the comedic timing that only those two could pull off. They did it specifically because they knew Radcliffe had sidled...

Margot Robbie’s Frustration: A Prequel Under Threat

'Ocean's Fourteen' Will Find the Thieves "Too Old" To Do What They Do Best, Says George Clooney
Image
George Clooney has teased what’s to come when he and fellow Hollywood icon Brad Pitt return for the long-awaited Ocean's sequel, Ocean’s Fourteen. And, as expected with a 63-year-old Clooney and a 61-year-old Pitt, they’re following in the footsteps of Lethal Weapon’s Roger Murtaugh and are now, finally, too old for this sh*t.

Speaking recently with The New York Times, Clooney teased the direction of the fourth Ocean’s movie, revealing that it will follow master thieves Danny Ocean, Robert "Rusty" Ryan, and the rest of the crew as they approach their later years and struggle with pulling off the same high-stakes heists. Clooney revealed...

George Clooney Says New ‘Ocean’s’ Film Is About the Gang Being ‘Too Old to Do the Jobs’
Image
Time may have passed, but George Clooney is still up to his old shenanigans. Or at least back to playing career criminal Danny Ocean again.

Speaking in an interview with The New York Times, the Academy Award-winning actor teased the latest installment in the long-running franchise, which would serve as a follow-up to “Ocean’s Thirteen.”

“It’s like we’re all too old to do the jobs we used to be able to do,” Clooney said.

Clooney previously spoke of the project in an interview with Uproxx back in December 2023, where he compared the script to the 1979 comedy “Going in Style,” starring George Burns, Art Carney, and Lee Strasberg. At the Los Angeles premiere of “Wolfs” back in September 2024, he also told E! News that he’d gotten the rest of the old team on board to return.

“We have a really good script,” said Clooney. “Everyone’s read it and ready to do it.

“The world just got a little less funny”: Death of a Beloved Ocean’s Trilogy Star Hit George Clooney Especially Hard
Image
Ocean’s Eleven has turned into a cult-classic favorite among movie fans due to its ingenious plot, but more so because of its stellar ensemble cast. This is why when Bernie Mac passed away in 2008, it felt like the whole world shattered for George Clooney and his costars.

Ocean’s Eleven / Credits: Warner Bros.

Mac played Frank Catton in the film trilogy, a discredited croupier and con man, who worked alongside Clooney’s Danny Ocean and his team of heist accomplices. The loss of Mac also affected the development of a planned sequel.

George Clooney and the rest of the Ocean’s cast mourned the death of Bernie Mac

Bernie Mac was one of the most notable comedians in Hollywood, and his passing left a huge dent in the comedy industry. He appeared in three Ocean’s films and created a bond with his costars over the course of six years. When...

Every Ocean's Movie, Ranked From Worst To Best
Image
If you're only familiar with director Steven Soderbergh's take on Danny Ocean's (George Clooney) story in his "Ocean's" trilogy — which kicked off in 2001 — you might not know that the actual first movie centering around a guy named Ocean and a big Las Vegas heist actually came out in 1960. So which ones in this series are the best, and which are the worst?

I feel pretty comfortable saying that I'm going to ruffle some feathers with this ranking, and I'm fine with that. I love picking hyper-specific hills and then dying upon them; it's one of my absolute favorite hobbies. Still, with just five "Ocean's" movies to choose from — putting aside the rumored prequel with Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie as Danny's parents — it's a fairly close ranking, but there's still a definitive answer. Here are the "Ocean's" movies ranked from worst to best, and I guarantee people...

The Fall Guy director David Leitch is reportedly in talks to helm the next Ocean's 11 sequel.

David Leitch in Talks to Direct ‘Ocean’s 14’ with Pitt and Clooney Reportedly Returning
Image
Back in September, Deadline hinted that Conclave director Edward Berger might take the reins for the long-awaited Ocean’s 14. At the time, we knew it was far from a done deal, and now it seems Berger is officially out of the picture.

But don’t worry—there’s some good news. According to Deadline, David Leitch, the co-creator of John Wick and director of The Fall Guy, is in early talks to take over instead, via the InSneider.

If things work out, Leitch would be the first to direct an Ocean’s sequel that isn’t led by Steven Soderbergh. The best part? George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and most of Danny Ocean’s crew are expected to return for one last heist.

Clooney himself recently confirmed in an interview with Uproxx that the script is finished. While plot details are under wraps, Clooney did tease that the film might lean...

David Leitch In Talks To Direct Ocean’s 14 — Brad Pitt And George Clooney Expected To Return
Image
Back in September, we brought you the eyebrow raising news that Conclave director Edward Berger could be set to direct long-gestating heist sequel Ocean's 14. But, as you may recall, at the time we did advise taking about a shovel's worth of salt with Deadline's reporting as it was very early doors in the negotiation process. And it's just as well that we did, because Deadline's latest update is a real bad news, good news situation. The bad news is Berger won't be masterminding Danny Ocean's big screen comeback; the good news is that John Wick co-creator and The Fall Guy filmmaker David Leitch might be.

According to Deadline, whose sources confirm an initial exclusive from hit-and-miss Hollywood scooper Jeff Sneider, Leitch is in early talks to direct the fourth film in the mainline Ocean's franchise, which would also mark the first not to be helmed by Steven Soderbergh.

Director David Leitch in Talks to Direct 'Ocean's 14'
Image
David Leitch could soon be sailing into the Ocean's franchise waters; the fan-favorite action director is reportedly in early talks to helm Ocean's 14. The upcoming feature will mark the first of the franchise films starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney that Steven Soderbergh will not direct. Clooney will also be involved in Ocean's 14, reprising his role as Danny Ocean and serving as a producer.

It's an exciting development for fans of Leitch's work and the series itself, given his previous work directing mega-action flicks like John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, and Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. That last one was a particularly personal one for the director, given his time working as a stuntman (often with Pitt) before becoming a director. He also directed the raucous Bullet Train, which starred Pitt as the unlucky assassin Ladybug. Pitt, though not officially confirmed, is expected...

George Clooney and Brad Pitt are expected to return. The duo last starred in “Ocean’s 13,” back in 2007.

“We have a really good script for another ‘Ocean’s’ now, so we may end up doing another one. It’s actually a great script,” Clooney previosuly said. While he was reluctant to call it “Ocean’s Fourteen,” he did say, “The idea is kind of like ‘Going In Style,’” referencing the 1979 film written and directed by Martin Brest, starring George Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg, about three elderly friends who decide to break the monotony of their lives by pulling off a heist.

'Ocean's 14' Might Have Just Found Its Director After All
Image
It looks like Danny Ocean and Rusty Ryan are heading for one last heist, and this time, they're bringing along David Leitch, with the Bullet Train director in final talks to direct Ocean's 14, which reportedly seeking to bring back George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Last year, Clooney revealed that there was a script ready for the movie, based on another classic heist film. “We have a really good script for another Ocean’s now, so we may end up doing another one,” Clooney told Uproxx. “It’s actually a great script. I don't want to call it [Ocean's 14], the idea is kind of like Going in Style." ‘Fall Guy’ Director David Leitch in Talks for ‘Ocean’s 14’
Image
David Leitch — the stuntman turned director behind John Wick and The Fall Guy — is in talks to direct a new Ocean’s movie, a knowledgeable source confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

TheInSneider was the first to report the news.

The latest film in the heist movie franchise is expected to see the return of George Clooney as Danny Ocean, with Clooney’s Smokehouse banner behind the Warner Bros. project. Brad Pitt, who worked with his former stunt double Leitch on Bullet Train, is also expected to return. The ensemble also includes Matt Damon and Casey Affleck.

All of the Ocean’s movies star a group of criminals pulling off increasingly daring heists. Ocean’s 13, the most recent to star Pitt and Clooney, came out in 2007. David Leitch in early talks to direct Ocean’s 14, with George Clooney and Brad Pitt expected to return
Image
The InSneider has reported that David Leitch is in early talks to direct Ocean’s 14, the latest installment of the heist franchise featuring George Clooney and Brad Pitt alongside an all-star ensemble. It was previously reported that Conclave director Edward Berger was being courted to develop the film, but it appears that didn’t work out.

George Clooney actually teased another Ocean’s project in 2023, saying, “We have a really good script for another Ocean’s now, so we may end up doing another one. It’s actually a great script.” The actor wouldn’t spill any other details, only to say that “the idea is kind of Going in Style.” The film Clooney refers to is a 1979 heist comedy starring George Burns, Art Carney, and Lee Strasberg as three friends who decide to rob a bank. The film was remade in 2017 by Zach Braff, with Morgan Freeman, Alan Arkin,...
