The Disney+ series “Goosebumps” is coming back for a brand new second season, and the new season is titled “Goosebumps: The Vanishing.” Watch the official trailer below!

For starters, the previously announced series regular cast for Season 2 includes David Schwimmer (Anthony), Ana Ortiz (Jen), Sam McCarthy (Devin), Jayden Bartels (Cece), Elijah M. Cooper (Cj), Galilea La Salvia (Frankie) and Francesca Noel (Alex).

Additionally, Arjun Athalye (“Are You Afraid of the Dark?”) is Sameer, Eloise Payet (“The End of the Party”) is Hannah, Christopher Paul Richards (“The Kids Are Alright”) is Matty, and Kyra Tantao (“Zombies 3”) is Nicole — four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994, becoming a central secret to the present-day characters.

Stony Blyden (“American Born Chinese”) has also joined the brand new cast as Trey, Frankie’s boyfriend, while Sakina Jaffrey (“Billions”) is Ramona, a mysterious woman.

There's just something about the '90s comedy series Friends and the main cast members that still have us hooked to this day! Even after all these years, us fans love to support the actors in the projects they are still doing. Disney+ (like many streamers) has had a bad habit of canceling some fun shows after just one season: Willow, American Born Chinese, Renegade Nell and even Star Wars: The Acolyte. So it says something that Goosebumps was renewed for a second season over more high-profile shows.

It helps the show has a built-in fanbase, based on the long-running young adult horror books by R.L. Stine. It focused on a pack of teens who are haunted by a twisted spirit that ties into a crime committed by their parents and integrating parts of several of the books. The show was a good success, earning a second season.

However, rather than bringing back the original cast, the series will take on an anthology approach. Thus, Season 2 has a brand new title and storyline, subtitled The Vanishing.

Disney+ and Hulu have revealed Goosebumps: The Vanishing, a new season of the anthology series that will premiere on January 10, 2025, on both streaming services.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the subtitle and premiere date for the Disney Branded Television series were announced today in celebration of R.L. Stine’s birthday.

All eight episodes of Goosebumps: The Vanishing will debut on Friday, January 10, across Disney+ and Hulu. The key art was also revealed, featuring a first look at Emmy Award nominee David Schwimmer as Anthony Brewer, a former botany professor who has immersed himself in science and mystery.

Published by Scholastic, Goosebumps is one of the bestselling book series of all time.
