The 'Yellowjackets' Season 3, Episode 7 Twist Could Change the Series
Image
Yellowjackets threw fans for a loop with Episode 6, which introduced three new people into the wilderness. This has so many implications for the plot going forward. The ladies are not alone, but they have also become basically feral. After what they did to Ben (Steven Krueger), it’s not likely that there’s any turning back for them, and it explains why they remain so traumatized and secretive 25 years later in the present day.

The mysterious trio that shows up at the end of Episode 6, however, is revealed to be two university researchers and their guide. This answers some pivotal questions about the plot, some of which have been looming since the beginning.

Who Is the Trio in 'Yellowjackets'?

Edwin (Nelson Franklin) and Hannah are two university researchers studying frog mating patterns, while Kodi (Joel McHale) is their guide. They are set up to spend six months in the wilderness for this project,...

Daryl Dixon Season 2's Ending Points Toward A Major Character Return For Season 3
Image
Warning: This article contains Spoilers for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2's Finale. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2's finale wrapped up most of France's major storylines and took the protagonists towards a new location, but the closing moments also set up one key character's return in season 3. While Sylvie and Isabelle's Walking Dead deaths in season 2 hinted at a dark fate for most of the show's supporting characters, the finale offered a more hopeful ending for others. Akila gave Fallou a reason to stay behind in France, giving the duo a warm and wholesome ending, while Ash and Laurent flew to America, providing them with an equally optimistic conclusion.

Unfortunately, despite these characters getting a strong send-off, Daryl Dixon season 3 taking place in Spain means very few of them are likely to feature heavily in the next installment. The spinoff's change of scenery will likely come with an entirely new cast,...

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2 Ending Explained
Image
Warning: This article contains Spoilers for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2's Finale and mentions of suicide. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2 has been filled with emotional moments and gripping drama, with the story's conclusion perfectly capping off Daryl and Carol's journey. While Daryl has been trying to get home from France ever since the spinoff's opening episode, Daryl Dixon season 1's ending put some doubt in the protagonist's mind about where he belonged. Despite this, he still intended to return to the US in season 2, and Carol's arrival only helped further this objective. With the duo reunited, the final few episodes focused on protecting Laurent while finding a way back to the Commonwealth.

Thankfully, Ash's plane remained intact heading into Daryl Dixon season 2's finale, but given it could only fit three people, someone had to stay behind. Although the group eventually agreed Daryl should be...

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2, Episode 6, Recap & Spoilers
Image
The following contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2, Episode 6, "Au Revoir Les Enfants," which premiered Sunday, Nov. 3 on AMC. This article contains mention of suicide.

It's been a long road for Daryl and Carol on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. There have been cramped plane rides, outrageous environmentalists, exploding walkers and French cults. The absurd road leads to a resolution for some characters, and right back to square one for others. But there are still a few obstacles to jump over first. Ash's plane can't magically become big enough to pick up four people off the ground, so someone has to make a sacrifice. Daryl is willing to be the unlucky guy, and guarantees a sulking Laurent that he'll make it back to America soon to join the rest of them. He's been all alone before, he can survive a few more weeks or so all by himself in France.

Review: The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon finale ties up France's story but leaves emotional threads hanging
Image
In the pre-season promotion for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol, Norman Reedus repeatedly said he believed the finale was the best hour of The Walking Dead that had ever been made. Inevitably, it isn’t, but it’s a shame because while it cannot compete with the likes of "The Grove "or "Terminus," it’s not a bad episode. “Au Revoir Les Enfant” (Goodbye Children) gives us some vastly needed closure and the promise of a better future.

Much of the first half of the episode takes place at the racetrack where Daryl and Carol (Melissa McBride) are deciding who will go on Ash’s (Manish Dayal) plane back to the US with Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi). As with so much of this season, Daryl’s motivations for offering to stay behind remain muddy. Is he offering to stay behind out of nobility, or does...

‘Daryl Dixon’ Season 2 Ending Explained & Finale Episode 6 Recap: Is Codron Dead?
Image
Daryl Dixon season 2 may not have been too unique with the character arcs and the fate of our favorites, but the makers have surely had their fun coming up with the conflicts in the Daryl-centric spin-off. I don’t know about you, but I certainly didn’t see that ending coming. This might also be one of the handful of times things have transcended to almost a horror status in The Walking Dead universe. But the way Daryl Dixon has chosen to end the second season is arguably the most unexpected turn to horror the whole franchise has ever taken.

Spoiler Alert

Daryl decides to stay back

It’s a good thing that Laurent isn’t the first person who’s ever needed Daryl to be responsible for their well-being. Daryl’s battled a lifetime of attachment issues. He’s come a long way and has loved enough people in...

‘The Island’ (2023) Summary & Ending, Explained: Did Mark Finally Get Justice For His Brother?
Image
If you are a fan of martial arts-oriented movies like me, surely you have come across multiple movies starring the forever iconic Michael Jai White. In his career spanning over thirty years, the criminally underrated actor has starred in several dozen movies and series that could never justify his potential. Even before the superhero fad became a thing, he portrayed the titular character in Spawn as the first person of color to portray a superhero lead in live-action, yet he was overlooked by most franchise giants and limited to voice acting and small-screen portrayals of caped crimefighters. As I finished watching The Island, the first thought that came to mind was how the veteran action star is so neglected, as even in his mid-fifties, he is showcasing his acting chops and bringing enough physical skill to the game to put young actors to shame.

While The Island is a pretty straightforward,...
