The Utkarsh Sharma and Nana Patekar starrer Vanvaas witnessed its satellite streaming yesterday (March 8). However, the film was heavily compared with Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini’s 2003 movie Baghban. Now, in his latest conversation with Koimoi, Utkarsh broke his silence on the same and pointed out how the two films are different from each other.

While Utkarsh Sharma admitted that both Vanvaas and Baghban deal with the issue of parents being abandoned by their children, they are actually very different from each other. The Gadar 2 actor said, “If you’ve seen the film, it’s a very different movie. Baghban and Vanvaas ka genre ek hain, which is a family drama. This is more of a comedy and explores a different social issue. Baghban was on parents ke abandonment and uss mein ek love story.

However, he has no regrets since he remembers getting a good response from the people who have already watched the film. He said, “Yes, it is disappointing, but the main issue is that the people have loved the film and they have also cried.

Actor Utkarsh Sharma on Monday celebrated the massive success of his period action drama film ‘Gadar 2’ by shouting “Hindustan Jindabad”, and doing some bhangra steps. Never mind the 200 toffee-nosed critics who will tell you that this film is crass, outdated, loud, etc etc … Gadar 2 is the best extraction thriller I’ve seen in ages. Sunny Deol is a far more convincing extractioner than Chris Hemsworth.

When Deol roars, you know he means business. And the Pakistani villains in this monstrously over-the-top drama get Tara Singh (is he the brother of Dara Singh?) really mad when they take his son a prisoner.

If you know Sunny Deol, and if you have seen Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (and who hasn’t!) you would know you can’t mess with Tara Singh without getting a blow on your head from the handpump.

Gadar 2 is a period-action-drama directed by Anil Sharma. A sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. With Gadar 2, the Katha (story) continues and picks up from where it left. Mumbai, Aug 7 (Ians) Actress Simrat Kaur, who is going to make her bollywood debut with the film ‘Gadar 2’, is very excited and nervous for the film’s release.

The actress said more than an actor, she used to always have fangirl moments on the sets of ‘Gadar 2’.

Simrat, who has done work down south, is all set to make her bollywood debut with the much awaited film ‘Gadar 2’.

Talking about her experience of working in the film, the actress said: “See some people dream about certain things and when it gets fulfilled there is happiness. But with me, I had never dreamt of this. So I am beyond excited and happy. Way too emotional for the film. My experience on this film has been more of a fangirl. More than an actor, I was a fangirl on the sets of ‘Gadar 2’. I used to roam around on sets in complete amazement.

Anil Sharma, the director of the upcoming film ‘Gadar 2’, is glad that he opted for an authentic approach to fight scenes over VFX for Gadar 2. The film promises an array of larger-than-life action sequences that rely more on genuine stunts over VFX.

The director has rejected claims of the action in his film being old-school and has compared keeping things real like filmmaker Christopher Nolan, who too relies more on practical effects.

Talking about the same, the director explained: “I don’t consider it old-school action. It’s raw action. Look at some of Tom Cruise’s stunts in the ‘Mission Impossible’ series or Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’, even in the US, artistes are striving to keep things real and that’s what I wanted to do.”

Mumbai, July 6 (Ians) Playback singer Arijit Singh, who is often dubbed as the superstar of the Hindi music industry, has recorded another reprise version of a song after the much debated ‘Pasoori Nu’. This time, the singer has lent his vocals to the new version of the superhit song ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’ from the upcoming film ‘Gadar 2’.

As per media reports, after the tremendous positive response to ‘Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava’, the makers will soon release the reworked version of ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’ in the lead upto the film’s release.
