Ice Nine Kills have released a short film for “The Great Unknown,” a new single inspired by The Matrix.

The horror-inspired metalcore act is comprised of vocalist Spencer Charnas, guitarists Dan Sugarman and Ricky Armellino, bassist Joe Occhiuti, and drummer Mike Cortada.

The band members stars in the video alongside Terry Kiser (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood), Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects), Paul Soter (Super Troopers), Joel David Moore (Hatchet), and special effects artist Christopher Nelson (Halloween trilogy).

The latest installment in the Ink cinematic universe is directed by Jensen Noen and written by Charnas, Soter, and Andrew Justin Smith.

Like Spirit Halloween seizing a once-beloved store, Silver Scream Con moved into the old stomping grounds of Rock and Shock — New England’s premier horror convention, which came to an end in 2019 — at the Dcu Center in Worcester, Ma for its three-quel on September 13-15.

It was a full circle moment for Silver Scream mastermind and Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas, whose experiences attending Rock and Shock inspired him to start his own convention. For the second consecutive year, the Massachusetts-based band headlined a concert as part of Silver Scream Con, a horror convention curated by Ice Nine Kills mastermind Spencer Charnas. After last year’s intimate performance effortlessly sold out the 850-seat Cabot Theater in Beverly, Ma, this year’s event was booked at the Lynn Memorial Auditorium in Lynn, Ma. Despite having more than double the capacity at 2,112, it sold out in advance.

A brand new horror convention on the scene, the first-ever “Silver Scream Con” is set to debut this weekend (August 26th–August 28th) just north of Boston, Massachusetts.

The inaugural “Silver Scream Con”, curated by Spencer Charnas, front man of the band Ice Nine Kills, brings together horror celebrities Skeet Ulrich, Kane Hodder, Doug Bradley (Hellraiser), Nick Castle (Halloween), Bill Moseley, Danielle Harris, Tom Arnold, Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), and more for a three-day convention along with a Saturday night concert — headlined by Ice Nine Kills and featuring horror-rap duo Twiztid and Ari Lehman’s metal band First Jason.
