Match #1: Roxanne Perez def. Alexa Bliss The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After last week’s battle between Charlotte Flair and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Raquel Rodriguez, their partners, Alexa Bliss and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Roxanne Perez, collided. As Bliss was about to execute Twisted Bliss, Rodriguez attacked Flair, which forced Bliss to hit a top-rope Twisted Bliss onto Rodriguez on the floor. The fracas at ringside allowed Perez to roll up Bliss while using the ropes for the win.

Triple H Thought Zelina Vega Was Dating Charlotte Flair’s Ex-husband Not Aleister Black
Image
The Black household must be chuffed today. Aleister Black returned to SmackDown, and more importantly, his real-life wife, Zelina Vega, has become the new United States Women’s Champion. Vega, who has been feuding with the hilarious Chelsea Green, defeated the latter and the Secret Service to win the title. The Blacks have to be happy with how SmackDown went for them today.

Zelina Vega and Aleister Black have been married for almost seven years. Both of them met each other at Nxt(which was then headed by Triple H). Hhh was a bit confused about who Zelina Vega was getting married to.

Triple H was surprised by Zelina Vega’s engagement to Aleister Black

At Nxt: Black and Gold, Zelina Vega was Andrade’s manager. Under her, the Mexican star became the Nxt champion. Ironically, Andrade ended up losing his title to Aleister Black, which is an interesting coincidence.

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Jimmy Uso def. Carmelo Hayes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After weeks of verbal assaults and surprise attacks, Jimmy Uso and Carmelo Hayes looked to settle the score. Hayes showed out in front of NBA Superstar Tyrese Haliburton, but he could not put Uso away after some scintillating offense. Uso and Hayes traded superkicks and top-rope splashes, but the two athletes kept fighting. After Hayes tried using the ropes in a pinfall attempt, Uso countered and pinned Hayes after slyly hooking the tights.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Michin def. Chelsea Green (Dq) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

With a Kendo stick and ally B-Fab by her side, Michin tried to end the reign of Chelsea...

Match #1: Bianca Belair & Naomi def. Nia Jax & Candice LeRae The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Bianca Belair took an incredible beating, but one counter proved to be enough to shift momentum. Nia Jax went for her signature Leg Drop on Belair, but she missed and hit Candice LeRae. The misfire allowed Naomi to tag in and hit a Bubba Bomb on The Poison Pixie to win the match.

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Women’s United States Championship – Chelsea Green def. Michin The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Chelsea Green competed in her first Women’s United States Title defense when she took on Michin, the same competitor she defeated to win the championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Michin put up a good fight, but Piper Niven continued to get involved, forcing Michin to take out Green’s partner with a top-rope dive. Michin leaped off the top rope onto Green, but the champion reversed it and grabbed a fistful of tights to pin Michin.

The Last of Us: Kaitlyn Dever doesn't need to be big to rock as Abby
Image
Anyone who played The Last of Us on PlayStation knew that HBO would renew it. The story was too good for people not to tune in and the characters left fans emotional after every episode. But, let this writer tell the uninformed something. You haven’t seen anything yet. The second season of The Last of Us on HBO will feature one of the most controversial PlayStation characters of all time, Abby.

Warning! Spoilers For The Last Of US Season 2 Ahead!!!

Early during the game, you learn that Joel is the man who killed her father (the surgeon who was going to operate on Ellie). That leads to some thought-provoking moments. As deep and introspective as they are, that’s not the first thing people think of when it comes to Abby. They think of her size.

WWE International Superstars Axiom, Isla Dawn, Stephanie Vaquer Prepare for Global Stage as Netflix Kicks Off New Era of Professional Wrestling
Image
After three decades on terrestrial TV, “Monday Night Raw,” WWE’s flagship weekly program, will debut on Netflix for subscribers worldwide today. This marks the beginning of a globe-spanning, 10-year, $5 billion partnership between the streamer and the brand that brings with it all kinds of new possibilities for the fans, the brand and its superstars.

In the U.S., the deal is limited to WWE’s weekly “Raw” program, but most international territories will receive all three of the brand’s weekly shows — “Raw,” “SmackDown” and “Nxt” — as well as the company’s Premium Live Events (Ple) and a raft of supplemental and catalog content.

This means that audiences in many countries will, for the first time, have up-to-date access to all of WWE’s current offerings. For the company’s international talent, this is especially significant, as their friends and families and hometown fans will now have much greater access to their work.

‘WWE: Saturday Night Main Event’ Review (Dec 14th 2024)
Image
Guess who’s back, back again… It’s Saturday Night Main Event! Yes, the classic WWE brand returns for a much-anticipated show, the first in Sixteen years! Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Drew McIntyre def. Sami Zayn The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The Scottish Warrior picked up a major victory over Sami Zayn to kick off the action at the first Saturday Night’s Main Event in 16 years. Zayn immediately brought the fight to Drew McIntyre, flustering the former WWE Champion, who responded by tossing The Honorary Uce onto the announce table in spectacularly brutal fashion. McIntyre went for White Noise, but Zayn pulled off a remarkable counter and hit a sunset flip powerbomb that nearly won the match. The Scottish Warrior nailed a Glasgow Kiss, but his attempt at a Claymore backfired when Zayn...

‘WWE Smackdown’ Review (Dec 13th 2024)

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show…

Match #1: Women’s United States Title Tournament – Michin def. Tiffany Stratton The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Michin is one step closer to making history and becoming the first-ever Women’s United States Champion after she defeated Tiffany Stratton in the semifinals. It looked like it was Tiffy Time for Ms. Money in the Bank, but Michin showed great wherewithal to weather the storm and plant Stratton with a huge tornado Ddt. Stratton went for the win and nearly hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, but Michin rolled out of the way just enough to hit Eat Defeat to punch her ticket to the finals.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Braun Strowman def. Carmelo Hayes The following is courtesy of wwe.

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show…

Match #1: Tiffany Stratton def. Naomi & Elektra Lopez The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Minnesota native “Ms. Money in the Bank” Tiffany Stratton booked her ticket to the semifinals of Women’s United States Title Tournament as she took down Naomi and Elektra Lopez. Stratton had the crowd behind her the whole way as she clobbered Naomi with a huge stomp on the apron. Naomi looked to have the match won after she hit a Rear View onto Stratton and was about to follow up with a Split-Legged Moonsault on Lopez but Candice LeRae came out to stop Naomi. Naomi would eventually hit the Split-Legged Moonsault onto Lopez, but The Center of the Universe hit a Swanton Bomb on Naomi, then connected...

Cody Rhodes blasted Carmelo Hayes with the Cross Rhodes for a hard-fought victory, giving The American Nightmare an edge as he barrels toward his Undisputed WWE Championship Match against Kevin Owens.

5 Winners & 1 Loser From Last Night's SmackDown
Image
WWE hit the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, for a pre-taped episode of SmackDown for the final stop before Survivor Series. Cm Punk and Roman Reigns came face to face for the first time since Punk's big return to the company. In a cinematic meeting, the two were tense and mistrusting of one another ahead of teaming up at Survivor Series, and a mystery favor was discussed by Punk for Paul Heyman. Solo Sikoa's team will also have the advantage at WarGames, after Jacob Fatu pinned Jey Uso in SmackDown's Main Event and his first singles match in WWE.

Elsewhere in the show, Michin became the third woman to qualify for the next round of the United States Championship tournament with victory over Piper Niven and Lash Legend, replacing the injured Jade Cargill. Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Andrade in a competitive encounter, before hitting LA Knight with black...

‘WWE Crown Jewel 2024’ PPV Review
Image
Welcome to this review of WWE Crown Jewel 2024, right here on Nerdly… The controversy over this event seems to die down with each and every event passing and I’m not sure how I feel about that. Anyway, let’s see what happened during this year’s show, which was marked by the champ versus champ matches for the newly-minted Crown Jewel belts!

Match #1: The Bloodline def. Roman Reigns and The Usos The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Solo Sikoa earned the biggest pinfall of his career by earning the three-count over Roman Reigns and anointing himself as the one true Tribal Chief of The Bloodline. The Usos kicked things off by bringing back their signature tandem offense, but it wasn’t long before The Samoan Werewolf brought the fight back to them, leading to a tense standoff. With The Og Bloodline in firm control, Jey rebuffed the...

Match #1: Liv Morgan def. Tiffany Stratton The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Despite Nia Jax distracting the official on the ring apron and kicking the Money in the Bank briefcase to Tiffany Stratton to use against Liv Morgan, the Women’s World Champion avoided the hit and rolled up her opponent for the three-count while grabbing the tights. When Morgan attempted to use the briefcase on Jax after the bell, though, the WWE Women’s Champion took it away from her and used it on Liv, Raquel Rodregez and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio before crushing her WWE Crown Jewel opponent with the Annihilator.

4 Winners & 2 Losers From Last Night's Monday Night Raw
Image
WWE made its final pit stop on the road to Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia this weekend with a SmackDown show that was pre-taped after last Friday's episode. Jey Uso and the original Bloodline took center stage, raising their ones to the sky in unison as Roman Reigns and Jey Uso had a very frank conversation. Jey is his own man in 2024 and respect must be paid as Roman and The Usos will face The Bloodline at this weekend's Ple.

Elsewhere, The Street Profits defeated Pretty Deadly after they'd finished flirting with Hamilton creator Lin-Maunel Miranda, Iyo Sky won an action-packed Fatal Four Way, Liv Morgan pinned a particularly feisty and threatening Tiffany Stratton, and Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton defeated Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser in the night's Main Event, before Kevin Owens spoiled the night's celebrations.

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down in this episode…

Match #1: Damage Ctrl vs. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson (No Contest) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Former Nxt Women’s Champions Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane returned to Nxt for a tag team match against The Meta-Four’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, but they left with even more enemies. Sky and Sane’s quickness was met with sheer power from Lash Legend who at one point dribbled their heads like basketballs on the middle rope. With the action going back and forth inside the ring, SmackDown’s Chelsea Green and Piper Niven crashed the scene and forced a No Contest by laying out all four Superstars.

My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Jaida Parker def. Tatum Paxley The following is courtesy of wwe.
