Qualified as an Electronics & Communication engineer it has been books on poetry that has always kept him company. Alok Ranjan Jha an exuberant young man in his early thirties is an encyclopaedia on the works of the Urdu and Hindi legends of poetry from Amir Khusro's era to Gulzar and Javed Akhtar's era,This helped him make his first mark in professional writing when while working in a big telecom company he was selected as a Radio Jockey for AIR. This was Vividh Bharti,who introduced him to the world of film music and several music directors recognised his talent of writing and helped him to start his journey from a Urdu and Hindi poetry enthusiast to becoming a poet or lyricist.He studied and practiced all types of urdu and hindi poetry before introducing himself to Hindi Film Industry.Till the date he has written songs for Nine feature films,One famous web series and more than hundred single tracks and Ad jingles.Singers like Asha Bhosale,Kumar Sanu,Abhijeet Bhattacharya,Alka Yagnik,Arijit Singh,Shaan,Javed Ali,Babul Supriyo,Neeti Mohan,Palak Muchchal,Aditi Singh Sharma and many more have lent their voices to his written songs. His work has been sung by the greatest legends of Ghazal singers in India including Bhupinder singhji, Mitali Singh, \Ashok Khosla and many young talents too. Currently Alok is working with the legendary composers of the industry for a number of upcoming big projects.
