Andrew Garfield’s initial turn as the web slinger in The Amazing Spider-Man movies received a highly divisive response. However, he got his much-needed redemption arc in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Following his appearance in the film, fans eagerly hoped to see him return to the role again. With the announcement of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, fan expectations on the matter are on an all-time high.

Robert Zemeckis has one of the most eclectic filmographies in history under his belt. Despite these cinematic innovations, Here has not been very well-received by critics or audiences. One major reason being cited for the backlash is the film's ending. Before production had begun on the anticipated film adaptation of Enid Blyton‘s The Magic Faraway Tree, director Ben Gregor worried that he’d put one of his stars, Andrew Garfield, off a little bit.

“We wrote a song for the film and we sent it to Andrew early on,” Gregor explains to The Hollywood Reporter. “And I hadn’t worked with him yet and you don’t know… With actors sometimes, you can put them off.”

But Garfield loved it. The gesture ended up being instrumental in the atmosphere that Gregor later cultivated on set — one of true-heartedness, trust, and that crucial Blyton ingredient: magic. “Everybody was putting themselves out there,” Gregor says.

British icon Jennifer Saunders has joined the star-studded cast for the film adaptation of Enid Blyton‘s beloved children’s book, The Magic Faraway Tree.

Hiran Abeysekera (The Life of Pi, The Father and the Assassin) and Pippa Bennett-Warner (Gangs of London, See How They Run, Chloe) will also feature alongside the previously announced cast of Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, Nicola Coughlan and Jessica Gunning.

Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are husband and wife, and despite being married since 2022, the couple still used an intimacy coordinator on the set of the series A Gentleman in Moscow.

McGregor revealed in a recent interview why having an intimacy coordinator on the set was important while filming sex scenes for the series.

“It’s still necessary, because it’s also about the crew, and it’s odd to be naked in front of people, it’s odd to be intimate in front of the camera,” McGregor told Radio Times. “If you were doing a dance scene, you’d have a choreographer. It’s an important part of the work now, because it’s somebody that the director and actors meet in the middle.”

The actor also noted the importance of intimacy coordinators, especially now that his daughters Esther and Clara are also actors.

Ewan McGregor returns to television in the new historical drama, A Gentleman in Moscow. The new limited series is eight episodes and will be premiering on Showtime Friday, March 29. The premium movie channel has just released a new trailer ahead of its premiere. The drama has McGregor playing Count Rostov as he becomes imprisoned in the grand Hotel Metropol. A Gentleman in Moscow also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as film actress Anna Urbanova, Alexa Goodall as the Count’s unlikely young friend Nina, Johnny Harris as conflicted secret police officer Osip and Fehinti Balogun as Mishka, the Count’s best friend from university.

The official synopsis reads,

Groucho Arts has released a sneak peek teaser for their London set crime thriller, Tales of Babylon. The film is helmed by Pelayo De Lario and is centered around London, with the city as the “protagonist” according to De Lario. The film boasts a cast that includes Clive Russell (Game of Thrones), Billie Gadsdon (Cruella), Aaron Cobham (The Spanish Princess), and Paul Cassidy (Outlander) among others. Tales of Babylon tells the story of two siblings seeking to escape the grip of their abusive mobster grandfather. Their grandfather then joins forces with a pair of hitmen, who have a flare for the theatrical as they seek to carry out the task of eliminating the siblings.

Post-production has been completed and a sneak peek trailer has been released for Groucho Arts’ London-set crime thriller “Tales of Babylon.”

The film stars Clive Russell (“Game of Thrones”), Billie Gadsdon (“Cruella”), Aaron Cobham (“The Spanish Princess”), Paul Cassidy (“Outlander”), Maria Crittell (“Doctors”) and Ray Calleja (“Mr. Selfridge”). It is directed by Pelayo De Lario, whose “Jack” was awarded on the festival circuit in 2021.

Rlje Films has acquired “Nocebo,” a thriller starring Eva Green and Mark Strong.

The film will open in theaters on Nov. 4 and on-demand and digitally on Nov. 22. Shudder will release the film in 2023. Both Rlje and Shudder are business units of AMC Networks Shudder focuses on streaming movies in the horror, thriller and supernatural genres.

“Nocebo” centers on a fashion designer (Green), who suffers from a mysterious illness that confounds her doctors and frustrates her husband (Strong). Help arrives in the form of a Filipino nanny (Chai Fonacier) who uses traditional folk healing to reveal a horrifying truth.

The movie was directed by Lorcan Finnegan (“Vivarium”) and written by Garret Shanley (“Without Name”). It also stars Billie Gadsdon.

Groucho Arts’ crime thriller film “Tales of Babylon” has wrapped principal photography and is currently in post-production.

The film stars Clive Russell (“Game of Thrones”), Billie Gadsdon (“Cruella”), Aaron Cobham (“The Spanish Princess”), Paul Cassidy (“Outlander”), Maria Crittell (“Doctors”) and Ray Calleja (“Mr. Selfridge”). It is directed by Pelayo De Lario, whose “Jack” was awarded on the festival circuit in 2021.

“Tales of Babylon” follows two siblings looking to escape their abusive mobster grandfather, who join forces with a pair of hitmen with a knack for the theatrical in their search for a new life. It was shot around the London Docklands, Brixton, Greenwich, Hammersmith and Hoxton.
