‘My Unorthodox Life’ Star Julia Haart Wins $75 Million Legal Victory Against Her Ex-Husband, Silvio Scaglia
Image
On Tuesday, Julia Haart, star of the hit Netflix series My Unorthodox Life, was seen basking in the glow of a legal win in the bitter battle with ex-husband Silvio Scaglia.

Haart and Scaglia were wed in June 2019. While the two were married, they were co-owners of the business Elite World Group (Ewg) – which represents the largest number of modeling agencies in the world – while Haart also worked as creative director of the luxury lingerie brand La Perla.

When Haart filed for divorce from Scaglia in 2022, he fired her from Ewg. Haart believed that Scaglia had given her half of Freedom Holding (which owns Ewg and their $65 million apartment) in return for her running the firm, but Scaglia claimed that she only owned a fraction of the company. He further alleged that Haart misappropriated millions of dollars from Ewg, but failed to present any evidence to back this up in court.

Haart’s case was thrown out in 2023, but Haart continued to advocate for herself. The original dismissal of the case was overturned by New York State’s highest court in October.

‘My Unorthodox Life’ Star Julia Haart Admits To Breastfeeding Brother
Image
My Unorthodox Life star Julia Haart details revelations from her life as an Orthodox Jew, including breastfeeding her brother under her supervision.

Her brother is a few months younger than her eldest daughter, Batsheva Haart.

Haart joined Amanda Hirsch for her podcast Not Skinny but Not Fat, when the actress blurted, “You wanna hear a real mind—? I nursed my brother.”

This comes after Haart left the Orthodox community in 2013, noting that the religion made her question her “entire life – silently, inside.”

“My mother was like, ‘Oh, you’re already nursing your daughter. Take him, too,” said the actress unfazed. “So, I ended up nursing my brother and my daughter. That’s a mindf–k.”

The fashion designer explained that, at the time, she had just welcomed daughter Batsheva, and her mother had given birth to Shlomo, her brother.

Haart went on to compare her Orthodox life to living in the 1800s.

Why My Unorthodox Life Fans Called Shlomo Boring In Season 2
Image
Shlomo Haart is one of the main cast members on My Unorothox Life, but fans have called him out for being boring on season 2. He was raised in an extremely religious household, along with his siblings Batsheva, Miriam and Aron Haart. After his mom Julia Haart left the Orthodox Jewish community, her three oldest kids left and have been reevaluating their life away from the religion ever since.

Shlomo was new to the outside world on My Unorthodox Life season 1. Fans found his storyline interesting because he was open about his lack of dating experience. Shlomo experienced his first kiss at around 26 years old at the start of the show. He had a heartfelt conversation with his mom about just beginning to feel open to the idea of dating, as he said it was frowned upon in the community unless it was for marriage. Fans like how he is close with his sisters,...

Why My Unorthodox Life Fans Think Ra’Ed Is Using Robert
Image
Ra'ed Saade appeared on My Unorthodox Life season 2 after he started dating fan-favorite Robert Brotherton, and some fans think Ra'ed is using Robert. The pair got a lot of screen time in season 2 as Robert continued to be a central character on the show since he is Julia Haart's right-hand man. Though Ra'ed and Robert still appear to be together after the season ended, fans believe Ra'ed may not have started the relationship for the right reasons.

Ra'ed and Robert met in college and dated before going their separate ways. They said they still kept in touch as friends and had recently reconnected. Pretty soon, Ra'ed and Robert were dating, moved in together in Connecticut and adopted a dog named Richard together. Ra'ed cared for Robert when he went through his weight loss procedures, but the pair was not without issues. On My Unorthodox Life, Ra'ed wanted an open relationship,...

Image
Batsheva Haart is one of the stars of My Unorthodox Life, and she has divided viewers of the show. While some think that she is mature and are happy for her living her best life after her divorce, others think she comes across as fake for the cameras. After being raised in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community and getting married at 19 years old, she has gone through a lot of changes to get to where she is now.

My Unorthodox Life season 1 introduced fans to the entire Haart family, led by their mom Julia Haart. Batsheva is the oldest child, and when she first appeared on the show, she was happily married to Ben Weinstein. Ben was still in the Orthodox community, but tried some "unorthodox" things for Batsheva, like letting her wear jeans. Robert Brotherton was the breakout star from My Unorthodox Life season 2, and fans loved seeing him continue to get more screen time. Viewers got to see more of his over-the-top personality and incredible fashion moments, but he also got vulnerable on the show. ‘My Unorthodox Life’s Julia Haart Sues Hubby & Co-Star For Over 250M Over Fraud Claims

Exclusive: Netflix’s My Unorthodox Life is headed into some unorthodox territory with a multimillion-dollar fraud lawsuit filed Friday by the unscripted series’ star Julia Haart against her estranged husband and co-star.

Detailing a seemingly elaborate sleight of hand, ex-Elite World Group boss Haart claims that Scaglia tossed a spanner in the works of the couple’s ongoing divorce by scamming her out of stock and big bucks from their parent company Freedom Holding, Inc. – and that’s the polite stuff.

Netflix has renewed “My Unorthodox Life” for a second season.

The show stars fashion executive Julia Haart, who left the ultra-Orthodox community in which she was raised to conquer the modern world. The unscripted series follows her and her four children as they navigate life since leaving their extreme religious Jewish community.

Still a proud Jewish woman, but not religious, Haart is now the CEO of Elite World Group, one of the world’s largest modeling and talent management agencies.

Haart was raised in Monsey in upstate New York where she had four kids after an arranged marriage. She had never been on a first date and did not have a career. At the age of 35, she started to explore the idea of leaving for the outside world by reading books and watching television and movies. Less than 10 years ago, at 43 years old, she decided to leave her community and set out on her own.

Image
Less than 10 years ago, a typical Friday night for powerhouse fashion executive Julia Haart consisted of making Shabbos dinner for her husband and family in the ultra-Orthodox community of Monsey in upstate New York. Today, Haart’s weekends are more likely to involve rubbing shoulders with Gwyneth Paltrow or Kendall Jenner, both of whom she has dressed in lingerie.

After being raised her entire life as an ultra-Orthodox Jew — including an arranged marriage, four kids, no first dates, no career, no birth control, no orgasms and no eating at a non-kosher restaurant — she started to explore the idea of leaving the outside world at 35 years old, gradually reading books and watching television and movies. Finally at the age of 43, Haart decided to leave her community and set out on her own.

In the matter of eight years, she launched her own shoe collection, became creative director of La Perla and...

Reality Week: ‘Bling Empire’s Jeff Jenkins On How Streamers Are Fueling Docusoap Boom & Teaming With Paula Abdul, Anthony Scaramucci & Jocelyn Wildenstein
Image
Jeff Jenkins has worked on reality series The Simple Life, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and most recently, Netflix’s Bling Empire.

Deadline can reveal that Jenkins is also working with pop star Paula Abdul, former Trump advisor Anthony Scaramucci and Jocelyn Wildenstein, the socialite known for her extensive, catlike cosmetic surgery, as he looks to take advantage of the latest boom in the world of reality docusoaps.

“I like to work with the unique folks out there. They’re harder and harder to find in our homogenized world and it is definitely becoming harder and harder to find fresh, unique, on-camera talent who the viewer is compelled to watch,” he told Deadline.

His latest project, Bling Empire, launched in January 2021 and he says it has become one of Netflix’s most-watched unscripted docuseries to date, numbers that encouraged the streamer to renew it for a second season.

The show...

Netflix Renews ‘Selling Sunset’ and ‘Bling Empire,’ Orders New Series From Creators of Both
Image
Netflix has renewed its popular docusoaps “Selling Sunset” and “Bling Empire,” and has ordered two new series from the creators of both shows.

In a blog post on Wednesday morning, Brandon Riegg, the streamer’s vice president of unscripted and documentary series, announced the renewals and series orders. “Selling Sunset” has been renewed for Seasons 4 and 5, while a second season of “Bling Empire,” which premiered in January, has also been ordered.

Both shows follow the lives of the 1% in Los Angeles. “Bling Empire” — from executive producers Jeff Jenkins, Ross Weintraub and Reinout Oerlemans, and showrunner Brandon Panaligan — chronicles the ostentatiously fabulous lives of a clique of Asian and Asian American friends. “Selling Sunset,” created by Adam Divello (“The Hills”) and produced by Lionsgate, follows the high-end realtors at The Oppenheim Group in West Hollywood.

The “Selling Sunset” renewal has been a poorly kept secret, given that the cast is known...
