Emil Ingemann Mortensen was born on the island of Fyn, Denmark.
As a child he became fascinated with movies and would act out scenes from his favorite films. When he was 13, he bought his very first camera which was nothing more than a DV Cam with a small amount of memory on it. Still, he loved trying out film tricks and effects with it.
In 2012 he wanted to get into the industry and started studying multimedia design - Film & Animation in the city of Odense. After graduating two years later, he went directly to Viborg to study Film- & TV-production. Here he made several commercials, documentaries and short films.
He wanted to direct his own, so he took matters into his own hands.
In 2018 he started writing his very first short film, "Filmholdet" (The Film Crew). Without any other crew on set but himself, he started shooting the film, directing five actors. Shortly after followed the short film "Setup", shot with only him and one actor.
He continues to live on Fyn, and make short films.
