He has several hit films to his credit including Apoorvaragam, Traffic, Salt N' Pepper, Ordinary, Ozhimuri, Honey Bee, Sapthamashree Thaskaraha, Nirnayakam, Anuraga Karikkin Vellam, and Sunday Holiday. Having proved his mettle as an actor, he made his debut as a producer with Kohinoor which was produced by his home banner Adam's World of Imaagination. He has also won several awards in his long career. In a recent interview to the Times of India, the actor is reported to have expressed his desire to act in Rs 200 crore budget film. He has made it clear that he wants to be a part of a high budget film but there were none offered to him right now. In the interview, he has been quoted as saying, “It might sound clichéd but more than a star I want to grow as an actor. Fortunately, I have had this luck to be able to select films. While I have that option, I decided to choose versatile characters and personally I get a kick out of doing these roles.” Asif Ali went on to add, “I want to do a Rs 200 crore movie too, but as of now I am not part of any.” Will the actor’s wish come true?
