In February of 2025 after the Trump administration was sworn back to power, as many as 19 states in the US have banned abortion. In a world that is slowly dying due to the scorching heat of the sun or the fading seasons, there’s nothing more distressing than World Leaders prioritizing taking away the autonomy that women have over their bodies – essentially taking us back in time and reinforcing a regressive patriarchal mindset. Yun Xie’s angry solo debut feature “Under the Burning Sun” is set in a fictional wasteland. However, it echoes the aforementioned sentiment by showing a woman who has to take an arduous journey, just so she can make her own choices.
The said wasteland is left unnamed but we can see the references to the States. Mowanza (Stephanie Pardi), a solitary young woman is struggling to battle away the recurring nightmares she has been witnessing despite the heat of the desert.

The final episode of "Agatha All Along" opens with one of the most shattering moments of the series. In flashback, Kathryn Hahn's Agatha, heavily pregnant in the middle of the woods, goes into labor alone. Again and again, viewers have been told that Agatha is the most powerful witch around, but she's still no match for Death herself, embodied by Aubrey Plaza's wonderful wild card Rio. When Rio appears as Agatha is about to give birth, the latter knows immediately what it means; her son is fated to die in childbirth or be delivered stillborn, as was common in the 1700s.
Agatha is not having it, though, and she pleads with Death to spare her boy. She does for a time, but Nicolas "Nicky" Scratch (Abel Lysenko) dies later, meeting with Rio while his mother sleeps. It's all incredibly heartbreaking, but Nicky's story also left "Agatha All Along...

"To live out there [on the remote island] with even a moderate amount of modern convenience would be a monumental undertaking." Vmi International has revealed the first official trailer for an indie comedy film called Waltzing with Brando, a sort of biopic about iconic American actor Marlon Brando. There's no release date or any other info yet - this is expected to arrive sometime in 2025 next year. Movie star Marlon Brando recruits a Los Angeles architect to build the world's first ecologically perfect retreat on his own small, uninhabited island in Tahiti. Billy Zane stars as Brando in this wacky look at his life. Based on the book written by the architect who actually did all of this for Brando. The book tells stories about Brando and is also about Tetiaroa, "Brando's private atoll, [wondering] about living in nature without despoiling the environment. Questions are asked. Should a hotel be built? What are the consequences?...

Part of Agatha Harkness' (Kathryn Hahn) charm in Agatha All Along is how she dresses. Although the Witches' Road trials often see her wearing specific outfits, she usually looks like the typical witch, with her long purple dress and cloak. The cherry on top is her special cameo brooch that features the three figures of a maiden, mother, and a crone, and in the series finale we finally learn why it's so meaningful. As expected, it has to do with her son, Nicholas Scratch (Abel Lysenko), and it's heartbreaking.

Spoiler Warning: This story includes major plot details for the Marvel Studios limited series “Agatha All Along,” currently streaming on Disney+.
When Jac Schaeffer signs onto Zoom roughly 18 hours after the two-episode finale of her series “Agatha All Along” debuted on Disney+, she looks at once relieved and slightly queasy.
“From when it dropped to about an hour ago, I’ve been feeling pretty shaky,” the showrunner says with a laugh. “We dropped a lot of content — a lot of moments.”
Schaeffer isn’t exaggerating. The episodes, titled “Follow Me My Friend / To Glory at the End” and “Maiden Mother Crone,” are chockablock with surprise twists and revelations that upend the story of Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), Billy Maximoff (Joe Locke) and the coven of women who venture with them onto the fabled Witches’ Road. For one thing, it turns out the Witches’ Road never really existed — until Billy unknowingly summoned it into being.

Spoiler Alert! This post contains spoilers for the final two episodes (and entirety) of Agatha All Along.
Marvel’s Agatha All Along has reached the end of the Witches’ Road, which turned out to be quite the alternate reality constructed by a very powerful young witch.
Aubrey Plaza’s Rio Vidal, aka Lady Death still had a major role to play in the final two episodes as Agatha (Kathryn Hahn), Billy (Joe Locke) and Jen (Sasheer Zamata) made their way to the final trial, set in a morgue, before veering off the road completely. Agatha and Billy shared some heartfelt moments in the finale after viewers learned what really became of Nicholas Scratch (Abel Lysenko). A second big reveal moment also came along for Joe Locke’s Billy with the realization that he had created the Witches’ Road from chaos magic.
“Us making the show, it was so, like, the subconscious,...
