‘Sex Lives of College Girls’ Star Alyah Chanelle Scott Breaks Down Whitney’s Surprise Kiss in Episode 7
Image
Note: The following story contains spoilers from “The Sex Lives of College Girls” Season 3, Episode 7.

It hasn’t been an easy time for Alyah Chanelle Scott’s Whitney in “The Sex Lives of College Girls” Season 3, though she finds some clarity for herself in Episode 7’s shocking twist.

After forgiving both Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet) and Canaan (Christopher Meyer) for hurting her with their relationship — which ended rather quickly — Whitney and Canaan have moved on to become friends, which has provoked some jealousy for Whitney’s new fling, Isaiah (Devin Craig), including an uncomfortable confrontation at the campus gym. Even as things progress with Isaiah, Whitney can’t shake Canaan, leading her straight to his door to kiss him.

“It’s that reversion to old ways and lasting curiosity to be like, ‘Well, if we fix the things, if I’ve worked on myself and I learned that I don’t have to control everything,...

‘The Sex Lives of College Girls’ Season 3 Cast and Character Guide

“The Sex Lives of College Girls” is back for Season 3, with some major switch ups to the core four.

While Leighton (Reneé Rapp), Whitney (Alyah Chanelle Scott), Bela (Amrit Kaur) and Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet) reunite for sophomore year, their reunion is short-lived as Rapp’s Leighton exits the series mid-season.

Meanwhile, the Max series welcomes two new cast members in Mia Rodgers and Gracie Lawrence, who play new Essex arrivals Taylor — an edgy international student — and Kacey — a transfer student who would rather spend time with her boyfriend than development friendships with Whitney, Bela and Kimberly.

For a full breakdown on which familiar faces you can expect to see in Season 3, as well as newcomers this season, keep on reading.

The Sex Lives of College Girls Releases Full Season 3 Trailer Ahead of November Premiere on Max

The streamer announced on Wednesday that Season 3 will premiere Thursday, Nov. 21, with a new episode dropping weekly through Jan. 23. One change for the upcoming season? Episodes will roll out at 9/8c each week, rather than 3 am (as was the strategy for the first two seasons).

‘The Sex Lives of College Girls’ Season 3 gets premiere date and new trailer [Watch]
Image
The only way is Essex. “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” Max’s cult hit comedy series, returns the week before Thanksgiving, the streaming service announced Wednesday. Max also released a new teaser trailer for Season 3 of executive producer Mindy Kaling’s series.

Things are typically wild as the girls return for sophomore year. Bela (Amrit Kaur) wants to hook up with the mascot, Franklin the Fox. Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet) swipes right on Whitney’s (Alyah Chanelle Scott) dad. Normal stuff at Essex College.

Season 3 finds breakout star Renee Rapp transitioning to a recurring role and making her exit from the series during the season as she focuses on her music career. She is heavily featured in the trailer, though, cracking jokes and hugging her suitemates.

Returning series regulars include Chalamet, Kaur, Scott, Christopher Meyer, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, and Renika Williams. New cast members include Gracie Lawrence, Mia Rodgers, Nabeel Muscatwalla,...

Image
The Sex Lives of College Girls co-creator Justin Noble is assuring fans they haven’t seen the last of Reneé Rapp‘s Leighton, who is back for a handful of episodes to wrap up her storyline in Season 3.

News of the actress’ departure from the Max dramedy broke last year, with a Deadline exclusive report. At the time, it was revealed that the singer-songwriter would not be a series regular, readying to leave the show after a few episodes.

“[She] definitely still has some lessons and room to grow ahead of her,” Noble told Teen Vogue in a recent interview previewing the forthcoming third season. “She’ll be faced with a couple of big choices and she’ll have to make a couple of big decisions in all aspects of her life.”

The comments suggest that Leighton, a wealthy, New York-hailing legacy student whose storyline last season included pivotal life moments...
