Despite Rocky Reviews, Guy Ritchie's Indiana Jones-Style Adventure Film Rises High on Streaming Charts
Image
Guy Ritchie's Fountain of Youthhas nearly taken over the streaming charts one month after making its debut.

Per Flix Patrol,Fountain of Youth has risen to the number two spot on the Top Ten Streaming Movies on Apple TV+ chart for June 22.Fountain of Youth was topped only by Echo Valley, while beating out some stiff competition, including Napoleon, Ghosted, and The Gorge.

Directed by Ritchie from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt, Fountain of Youth stars John Krasinski and Natalie Portman as Luke and Charlotte Purdue, a pair of siblings who decide to follow in their father's footsteps in decidedly different ways. While Charlotte works as a museum curator, Luke spends his time stealing paintings from criminals and traversing the globe as a professional treasure hunter. When Luke's endeavors bring the two together, Charlotte is caught up in Luke's search for the fabled Fountain of Youth.

As the film's story unfolds,...

The Fountain Of Youth – Review

The Fountain Of Youth is director Guy Ritchie’s, latest, an action/adventure tale starring John Krasinski and Natalie Portman, as a brother-sister duo hunting for the mythical Fountain of Youth. The Fountain Of Youth is a globetrotting adventure yarn blends Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Name Of The Rose, and National Treasure with an art heist thriller. Yet, there is little thrilling here, as the characters, plot and tropes are all too familiar, while the talented stars are miscast in their roles.

Guy Ritchie is a director who burst on the scene with a pair of clever twisty crime thrillers, Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, but mostly failed to live up to that early promise. With The Fountain Of Youth, all that remains...

HorRHIFFic 2025: ‘All This Time’ Review
Image
Stars: Emily Rose Holt, Daniel De Bourg, Emma Pallant, Darcey Brown, Dean Michael Gregory, Michaela Short, Luke Lindemann, Lyndsey Craine | Written and Directed by Rob Worsey

Taking a night out from motherhood, Grace (Emily Rose Holt) attends a lavish party at a nearby mansion. However the next morning she finds herself trapped inside the house in an endless time loop. To have any hope of escaping the mansion and returning to her normal life and young child, Grace must unlock the secrets of the house, the enigmatic owner Elias (Daniel De Bourg), and the previous night’s party.

Right from the off, All This Time nails the gothic atmosphere, leaning into the tropes of gothic horror, with an eerie atmosphere and a mise-en-scene that brilliantly reflects the dark nature of the story, the mansion and the characters within. So much so that the mansion itself, with its dark wooden wooden...

2023 Emmy nominations ballot: See the 51 Best Limited Series contenders from ‘Accused’ to ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’
Image
This year’s first-round Primetime Emmy nominations ballot includes a total of 51 Best Limited Series hopefuls. This is down from 2022’s unusually high total of 61, yet still much higher than 2021’s 37, 2020’s 41, and 2019’s 35.

All 20,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until June 26 to cast their 2023 Emmy Awards nominations ballots for programs. Unlike the Oscars, voters for the Emmys do not rank their choices and nominees are determined by a simple tally. After six years of not having to limit their choices in any categories, members’ selections can now not be greater than the number of eventual nominations for a given award, which, in this case, will be five.

Unlike comedy and drama series, which simply appear on the ballot by name, the limited series submissions include plot descriptions and cast lists. Which of the shows listed below do you think will land in the final lineup on...
