Crunchyroll treated fans to fireworks of a different kind at Anime Expo on July 4, unveiling the first trailer for “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” Season 2 and confirming its acquisition of worldwide streaming rights for a January 2026 release.

The reveal took place during a Crunchyroll-hosted panel at downtown LA’s Peacock Theater, where fans got their first look at the anticipated return of the acclaimed fantasy series. The streaming platform secured rights for all territories excluding Asia, though India and the Indian subcontinent are included in the deal, with plans for a simulcast from Japan.

The panel featured key talent including Japanese voice actor Chiaki Kobayashi, who voices Stark and is known for “Hell’s Paradise,” producer Yuichiro Fukushi from “One-Punch Man,” and composer Evan Call, who previously worked on “Violet Evergarden.” Each spoke about their experiences on the series and about the upcoming season.

Dragon Ball Daima has a streaming premiere date!

The English dub of the series arrives on Crunchyroll starting on January 10, 2025 in select territories.

Based on an all-new story and character designs from author Akira Toriyama, this original anime series from legendary studio Toei Animation commemorates the 40th Anniversary of Dragon Ball.

Here’s a plot summary: “Goku and company were living peaceful lives when they suddenly turned small due to a conspiracy! When they discover that the reason for this may lie in a world known as the “Demon Realm,” a mysterious young Majin named Glorio appears before them.”

It’s official, the Season 2 of anime series “Wind Breaker” will land on Crunchyroll in 2025.

The anime streamer announced the news on Thursday, the same day “Wind Breaker’s” Season 1 finale aired in Japan. The English dub for the first season will arrive exclusively on Crunchyroll on July 11.

The series is based on the original manga created by Satoru Nii, and the animated television show is produced by CloverWorks (“Spy x Family”). “Wind Breaker” was directed by Toshifumi Akai (“Fate/Grand Order -Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia-“) with series composition and screenplay written by Hiroshi Seko (“Attack on Titan Final Season,” “Chainsaw Man,” Jujutsu Kaisen”).
