Bryant Christopher Rue was born in Wichita, Kansas. He comes from a home schooled family of 9, with 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and began acting in local plays and short films in early high school. His first paying job was with a Fort Wayne performing group (All for One) as they performed at a number of local elementary schools, for the Indiana Character Counts program, teaching kids how to deal with bullies in the school setting. Bryant Rue worked with the program for two years in a row.

After high school and on his 18th birthday, Bryant walked into the US Army recruiting office for the first time. Two weeks later he would live for Fort Benning, Georgia to begin his basic training in the United States Army as an infantryman. After basic training he was stationed at JBLM (Joint Base Lewis-McChord, formally known as Fort Lewis) in Washington State, in an infantry Stryker battalion 5-20. During his military service he would spend a 1 year combat deployment in Iraq.

After leaving the military in 2012, he went back to film and acting, re-emerging in films such as Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Submerge: Echo 51. He continues to act in films with a number of upcoming projects, while pursuing his own goals of producing and directing his own films.

Both Bryant Rue and his brother Harason Rue began their early stages of production (2017) for their animated series (Dominion: Twin Gods) as co-writers and producers.
