First look images of New Sky Original Series ‘Unwanted’ Unveiled as Production Kicks Off in Italy

Sky have released first look images for a new Sky Original drama, “Unwanted.”

Inspired by the book “Bilal,” an investigative book from journalist Fabrizio Gatti, the eight-part series tells the story of an undercover human rights defender who is helping migrants journey from Africa to Europe as they battle human traffickers and government officials.

Stefano Bises (“Gomorrah”) created and wrote the series in collaboration with with the collaboration of Alessandro Valenti, Bernardo Pellegrini and Michela Straniero. It has just gone into production in Milan, Italy. Marco Bocci (“Fino all’ultimo battito”), pictured above, Jessica Schwarz (“Romy”) and Dada Fungula Bozela (“Snabba Cash”) star alongside Sylvester Groth (“Inglourious Basterds”) and Scot Williams (“Memory”).

They are joined by Hassan Najib, Jonathan Berlin, Jason Derek Prempeh, Cecilia Dazzi, Francesco Acquaroli, Barbara Auer, Marco Palvetti, Denise Capezza, Nuala Peberdy, Samuel Kalambay, Amadou Mbow, Edward Apeagyei, Reshny N’Kouka, Onyinye Odokoro and Massimo De Lorenzo.

"Snabba Cash" on Netflix
"Snabba Cash", is the new six-episode 'crime thriller' TV series, based on novels by author Jens Lapidus, set in Stockholm, Sweden, 10 years after events depicted in the "Snabba Cash" ('Easy Money') movie series, starring Evin Ahmad, Alexander Abdallah, Ali Alarik, Olle Sarri, Dada Fungula Bozela, Ayan Ahmed, Khalil Ghazal, Robin Nazari and Felice Jankell, streaming April 7, 2021 on Netflix: 

"...in the criminal undergrounds of Stockholm, people have become more obsessed with status and money. When tech entrepreneur 'Leya' (Evin Ahmad) kick starts her company with laundered money, she finds out there are no shortcuts to the top without paying the price.

Netflix Swedish Original Series ‘Snabba Cash’ Rolls Cameras In Stockholm

Snabba Cash (Easy Money), the Swedish Netflix original series that is being produced by Sf Studios, is underway in Stockholm.

Evin Ahmad, known from the feature film Dröm Vidare and two Netflix series Quicksand and The Rain season 2, is playing the lead. The show is a reboot of a trilogy of feature films based on the Stockholm Noir books by Jens Lapidus. Nordic major Sf Studios produced the features and is also behind the TV adaptation.

Covid safety procedures being taken on the pic include many team members wearing masks, regular temperature checks, a nurse available on set as well as an appointed coronavirus guard who will ensure people keep distance, and the production team being divided up into zones to avoid unnecessary contact.

Lapidus’ bestselling Stockholm Noir trilogy, set in the city’s underworld, have been adapted into more than 30 languages. Events in the series will take place ten years after the films,...
