Riverdale star Mädchen Amick recently shared that Archie and the gang will remain stuck in the 1950s for the remainder of the final season.
During an interview with Decider, the actor -- who stars as Betty Cooper's mother Alice in The CW drama series -- revealed that the entire seventh season takes place in the fifties. "No, we don’t get out of the 1950s. So I guess maybe that is a big spoiler," said Amick. "I will say you do experience the characters in different… dimensions, that you get to see a lot of closures that are outside of the 1950s. I can tease it that way. I think that’s saying enough."

Riverdale star Mädchen Amick has confirmed that one of her co-stars will not be returning for the final season of the show. With Riverdale season 7, the long-running series on The CW will be coming to a close. The latest episodes find the main characters living in 1955 with no memories of the previous seasons, following the destruction of the modern-day Riverdale at the end of season 6.
Speaking with Decider, Amick revealed that almost every character was supposed to come back for Riverdale season 7. However, one character, Fp Jones (Skeet Ulrich), will not be back, despite many fans enjoying the romantic relationship between Fp and Amick's Alice Smith. Check out what Amick had to say below:
We have to close the book on that. He was invited back, and the plan was he was going to come back. But then it fell through. I don’t know the particulars on it. But...

Decades before the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling, John Turturro’s maternal grandmother Rosa died as a result of an illegal abortion, a tragic event that sparked reverberations for the actor to this day.
“I lost my grandmother because she died during an illegal botched abortion,” Turturro tells Rolling Stone. “So that informs me on the whole history of abortion. And I was very interested in that [subject] because the death certificate says ‘manic depressive psychosis — contributory: exhaustion.’ It doesn’t say ‘botched abortion.’”
