Exclusive: Carly Chaikin (Mr. Robot), Douglas Smith (Big Little Lies), Sean Bridgers (The Magnificent Seven), ajd Chloe Guidry (Under the Bridge) are set to topline Red Camellia, an indie murder mystery from director Tamlin Hall (Holden On), who wrote the script with Spencer Ballou (Late Night). Jam Murphy (Through the Modern Looking Glass) will also feature in the cast.

Marking Hall’s follow-up to the football drama Holden On, starring Matthew Fahey, Red Camellia follows a small-town waitress (Chaikin) who seeks to exonerate her brother (Smith) with a traumatic brain injury when he is arrested for the murder of a small-town sheriff’s (Bridgers) daughter (Guidry).

Max Neace, Kevin Human (Chief of Station), and Nate Lipp (YouTopia) are producing, with production underway in Kentucky.

Merz. The book series has been referred to as "Jason Bourne with fangs" to get an idea of what they're aiming for. Brandon S. Stumpf stars in the lead role, joined by Shahjehan Khan, Liz Eng, Jam Murphy, Pamela Jayne Morgan, Jose Guns Alves, Jay Street, Morgan Barnsley, plus Brian McDonald as the Assassin, and Jon F. Based on a series of novel by Jon F Merz, the titular undead Fixer comes to life in the first Lawson teaser trailer.

The age of vampires isn’t over yet, at least if you ask filmmakers. The big wigs at Marvel are (hopefully) working hard on a Blade adaptation which hasn’t been smooth sailing exactly, but there’s another eagerly anticipated, bloodsucking adaptation heading our way.

Lawson, based on Jon F Merz’s series of books, has just unveiled its first teaser trailer. According to the YouTube description, the film follows “a covert operative for a race of living vampires, as he battles a sinister conspiracy to resurrect an ancient god and an old enemy who resurfaces from his shadowy past in this supernatural espionage film”.
