Wilson, who won entertainer of the year last year, also took home the award for album of the year for Whirlwind, as well as artist-songwriter of the year.

Country superstars Lainey Wilson and Chris Stapleton won major trophies at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards on May 8. Wilson claimed Entertainer of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Artist-Songwriter of the Year, while Stapleton won Male Artist of the Year.

The 2025 ACM Awards are here!

The two and a half hour awards show will be hosted by Reba McEntire, and will stream live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch on Thursday (May 8) at 8 p.m. Et, live from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

The show will open with 12 minutes of music highlighting ACM Award-winning song of the year winners from across six decades, featuring Clint Black, Dan + Shay, LeAnn Rimes, Reba, Sugarland and Wynonna Judd.

The show will also feature collaborative performances by Jelly Roll and Shaboozey, Backstreet Boys and Rascal Flatts and Brooks & Dunn with Cody Johnson.

“Opry 100: A Live Celebration,” which premiered Wednesday, March 19, scored 5.3 million viewers across NBC and Peacock, according to Nielsen live-plus-same-day figures and internal viewing data from NBCUniversal. NBC’s “Opry 100: A Live Celebration” is adding more performers to the roster for the March 19 special, which will devote three hours to commemorating the 100th anniversary of Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry. The live broadcast will feature performances from Post Malone, Keith Urban, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Alan Jackson, Jamey Johnson, Ricky Skaggs, Terri Clark, Steven Curtis Chapman, Yolanda Adams and Travis Tritt, it was announced Thursday.

The network also revealed a further slate of longstanding Opry members who will be making appearances on the telecast, including Bill Anderson, Jeannie Seely, Lauren Alaina, Sara Evans, Scotty McCreery, Chris Janson and Dustin Lynch.

According to a press release, many of the episodes “haven’t been available in 20+ years.” Coming from Seasons 1-8 and 10-13, the MTV Unplugged episodes include iconic performances from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Paul McCartney, Oasis, R.E.M., Alanis Morissette, Alice in Chains, and Bob Dylan.
