Gen V Season 2: What Are Marie’s New Abilities?
Image
Prime Video‘s Gen V Season 2 is set to premiere on September 17, 2025, and all eyes are on Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair). Her power appears to be evolving into something far more dangerous. Based on the season 2 trailer, Marie’s new abilities could be telekinetic-like, blood manipulation, and non-contact offensive force. She may now manipulate blood within others as well.

The trailer shows Marie levitating objects and throwing people, hinting at a possible telekinetic upgrade. These scenes suggest she can now manipulate blood pressure similar to The Boys‘ Victoria Neuman, the head-popping supe. In the Season 1 finale, she halted a fatal injury to Cate and neutralized armed guards without touching them.

It can also be speculated that Marie may have adapted powers related to Andre Anderson. His telekinetic abilities resemble what Marie is now showing.

Gen V Season 1: Who Is Maverick’s Girlfriend? Her Powers and Abilities Explained
Image
The Gen V Season 2 cast lineup has been making headlines ever since the trailer was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con in July. But we cannot stop thinking about one notable character from Season 1: Maverick’s girlfriend, Sloane. In the twisted, hormones and superpower-fueled world of Godolkin University, Maverick’s alpaca girlfriend stood out to audiences.

While her existence sounds like a joke ripped from The Boys’ playbook, the spin-off treats it surprisingly seriously, which has generated significant buzz around her powers and abilities. As Gen V gears up for a second season, let’s dissect all the abilities Maverick’s bizarre partner possesses.

Maverick’s Shape-Shifting Alpaca Girlfriend in Gen V

One of Gen V Season 1’s most bizarre pairings included the invisible son of Translucent, Maverick, and an alpaca named Sloane. Maverick’s girlfriend was first introduced to audiences in Season 1 Episode 5, titled “Welcome to the Monster...

Madeline Mallory and Jaz Sinclair
Amazon Prime Video has dropped the official trailer for Gen V Season 2—first revealed at San Diego Comic‑Con (Sdcc) 2025—alongside confirmation that the series will premiere on September 17, 2025, releasing the first three episodes immediately, with the rest following weekly through October 22.

A New Era at Godolkin University

They’re mysteriously returned to a transformed Godolkin University, now ruled by Dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater), who has implemented a Hunger Games–style militarization of supes, complete with gladiatorial training and suppression of powers via colored collars.

Honoring a Legacy: Andre’s Absence Addressed

The death of actor Chance Perdomo in March 2024 led producers to decide against recasting his character, Andre Anderson. The trailer directly addresses Andre’s absence through his father,...

The second season of Prime Video's Gen V is almost here, and as well as delivering big on the gross-out superhero action, the series also has some incredibly big boots to fill; those of the late actor Chance Perdomo. But the series isn't filling the proverbial boots. Instead, following the actor's untimely passing in 2024, showrunner Michele Fazekas revealed that his part won't be recast in the second season. Instead, Gen V has elected to write Perdomo's death into the series. Image
Gen V showrunner Michele Fazekas opened up about how the second season of the college-set superhero series would honor late cast member Chance Perdomo.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly at San Diego Comic-Con, the producer explained how paying tribute to Perdomo and his character Andre Anderson was top of mind going into the sophomore installment of The Boys spinoff.

“[That was] probably the No. 1 thing we wanted to do,” Fazekas said of commemorating the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina alum. “Just watching the show and watching even just the trailer for it … we did it so long ago and I remember being in the writer’s room and talking about how important it was to honor him. And then when you watch the show, he exists throughout the entire season. It was, in many ways, about Andre and about Chance. And, yeah, I’m very proud of that actually.”

Gen V: Erin Moriarty Returns As Starlight In Bloody Season 2 Sdcc Trailer
Image
A new trailer for the second season of Gen V debuted during San Diego Comic-Con this evening, and has now been released online.

The teaser begins with Jaz Sinclair as blood-manipulating Marie Moreau, tangling with ferocious Supe Dogknott, who gets the better of her until a familiar face comes to the rescue. Erin Moriarty is set to reprise her role as Starlight, and she won't be the only character from The Boys to make an appearance during season 2.

In addition, Wicked star Ethan Slater is joining the cast as Thomas Godolkin, the founder of the school.

In the season 1 finale, Marie and some of her classmates were rounded up by Homelander and his forces, and we saw the same thing happen to Hughie, Frenchie, Mm and Kimiko in the season 4 finale of The Boys. It seems interned Supes are going to form some kind of resistance to fight back against...

Gen V Season 2 Trailer Reveals A Major Boys Character Recruiting Marie To Stop A Deadly New Weapon
Image
The official Gen V season 2 trailer has debuted, and it reveals a major character from The Boys recruiting Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair). Gen V season 1 ended with Marie and her friends captured by Vought, although the season 2 teaser trailer previously showed that Marie, Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway), and Jordan Li (London Thor and Derek Luh) are back at Godolkin University.

Due to the real-life tragedy of Chance Perdomo's death, his character, Andre Anderson, Gen V season 2 was rewritten with Andre having passed away between seasons. His father, Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas), is determined to learn the truth about what happened to his son.

At Gen V season 2's San Diego Comic-Con panel, where ScreenRant was in attendance, Prime Video debuted the official trailer, which shows The Boys' Annie January/Starlight (Erin Moriarty) recruiting Marie. After saving Marie from another supe, Annie explains that she needs Marie to return to...

‘Gen V’ Cast on the ‘Importance’ of Paying Tribute to the Late Chance Perdomo With Season 2: ‘He Is There the Whole Way’
Image
San Diego Comic-Con is a time for celebrating fandom — a time of frenzied excitement that much of the cast of Prime Video’s “Gen V” are experiencing for the first time.

“You guys are gonna have the best day of your life,” Hamish Linklater told his “Gen V” co-stars Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, London Thor and Derek Luh during their interview at the Comic Con Variety Studio presented by Google TV before their big panel at the San Diego Convention Center on Friday night.

But the moment is also a bit bittersweet for the cast of the bloody college-set spinoff of the superhero series “The Boys,” as Season 2 pays tribute to the late Chance Perdomo, who was a central player on the show. Perdomo died in a motorcycle accident in March 2024, just before Season 2 started production. So, the show’s creative team revised the plot to honor the 27-year-old actor and his superhero character,...

The Boys wraps up filming the final season, but the universe will continue
Image
Back in 2007, no one could have guessed that The Boys would not only become a superhero TV show but also one of the best. Each season has provided an emotional rollercoaster by using real-life events mixed in with a superpowered twist. Sadly, the end of the show’s journey is closer than you realize, as Deadline reports that the final season has wrapped up.

"It’s bittersweet, but my primary feeling is gratitude. We have the best cast, the best crew, the most fun story to write, and something that is impossible to predict: the right timing. You wait your whole career to have maybe two of those things, if you’re lucky. We got all of them," creator Eric Kripke wrote in an Instagram post commemorating the conclusion of filming.

Barring unforeseen events, the future of Homelander, Hughie, Billy Butcher, and the rest of the characters is set. And...

Jaz Sinclair Readies for ‘Gen V’ Season 2 and Marie Moreau’s Evolution – As Well As New Album ‘Selkie’ About ‘Love and Grief’
Image
Ahead of “Gen V’s” second season, Jaz Sinclair confirms: fans will get to see a new side of Marie Moreau.

“Thinking about Marie in Season 1 versus Marie in Season 2, she does change. She does evolve. We’ll get more moments of lightness with her, for sure, but the circumstances are still intense,” she reveals at Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

“I don’t know if ‘happy’ is the right word, but in Season 1, Marie didn’t quite know how to be normal. She didn’t know how to be a teenager, because her experience was so extreme. Over the course of that season, and now in Season 2, she knows how to have friends, how to feel love – and how to tell jokes.”

In Amazon’s spin-off of “The Boys” – moving on in September following the tragic passing of actor Chance Perdomo last year – teen superheroes compete at the Godolkin University. There...

Gen V season 2's teaser trailer hints at how Chance Perdomo will be honored (plus release date)
Image
Expanding on the world of The Boys, Gen V season 2 will bring us more exciting fight scenes and an attempt to bring down Vought International. At the same time, it needs to pay tribute to one of the season 1 main cast members.

The teaser trailer for Gen V season 2 is now out, and it brings up a lot of questions. It looks like Marie and her friends are out of the Vought prison they were left in at the end of the first season. Reading between the lines and looking at how they’re ready to fight, nothing has changed for them, though. They’re just a little bit smarter at how they’re going to play this game this time.

Chance Perdomo (Andre Anderson), Jaz Sinclair (Marie Moreau), Derek Luh (Jordan Li) Chance Perdomo will be honored in Gen V season 2

The Boys Spinoff Gen V Season 2 Update ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Get ready, superhero fans! On June 1, 2025, Prime Video’s YouTube channel dropped the first teaser trailer for Gen V Season 2. That’s right, your favorite college-set The Boys spinoff is back and gearing up to pack another punch. The American satirical show first burst onto the scene in September 2023. It quickly scored a renewal thanks to its immense success. But filming hit a rough patch with the heartbreaking loss of Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson. The showrunners aren’t shying away from this tragedy either.

The new trailer tackles it head-on. Andre’s dad, Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas), is on a mission to uncover what really happened after his son vanished. Executive producer Eric Kripke told TV Line, “We’re not trying to replace him because we can’t. We’re playing the character’s death on the show.

Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, and Ella Purnell in Fallout (2024)
Amazon has set 17 September 2025 for the return of Gen V, dropping the first three episodes on Prime Video in more than 240 territories and then rolling out weekly instalments until the finale on 22 October. The date was revealed during a Ccxp Mexico panel whose sizzle reel positioned the college-based Boys spin-off alongside marquee titles such as Fallout and The Rings of Power. A teaser posted moments later confirmed the split-launch structure and showed Godolkin University under new dean “Cipher,” portrayed by Hamish Linklater.

Seven principal cast members are back, including Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann and Sean Patrick Thomas, according to official first-look photos shared in March. Season two of Gen V gets first trailer; Chance Perdomo character’s fate teased
Asa Germann, Derek Luh, Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, London Thor, and Maddie Phillips in Gen V (2023)
The Boys has grown into its own – and beyond, with spin-offs like Gen V successfully expanding the universe that began with the original comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The first season of Gen V was quite well-received upon release, but it’s been about a year and a half since season two was confirmed. So, yes, we are ready to re-enroll.

The trailer for season two of Gen V – which you can see embedded at the top of this article – perfectly sets the tone for the sophomore outing, which takes place before the fourth season of The Boys, which aired last summer

One of the biggest questions surrounding season two of Gen V is how the show will handle the loss of star Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson and who passed away suddenly in 2024. While Anderson does not appear in the trailer, we do get...

Back in March, creator Eric Kripke revealed that the final touches were being put to the first trailer, and fans have been patiently waiting for its arrival. While all eyes were on Netflix's Tudum event, Prime Video decided to drop the new trailer anyway. You can check it out for yourself below.

Don’t Be Tardy for the First ‘Gen V’ Season 2' Trailer and New Release Date
Image
The kids are alright. Well. Kind of. Today at the Ccxp Mexico celebrations, Prime Video dropped the debut trailer for the second season of Gen V — a moment that fans have been waiting for since the first season came to an end back in 2023. Even better than that, though, is the announcement that Season 2 will finally arrive on Wednesday, September 17, which certainly stays on par with the school's in-session theme of the show.

In the quick glimpse that we see, Eric Kripke and his team have already upped the ante, and are going for more blood, guts, and drama than before. With the universe’s flagship series, The Boys, officially coming to an end following its upcoming fifth season, all eyes are on Gen V to serve as the future of the franchise. And, if today’s teaser is any clue, it certainly won’t disappoint. Many returning faces are...

‘Gen V’ Season 2 Gets September Premiere Date
Image
“Gen V” Season finally has a premiere date, and just in time for the new school year, too.

Prime Video’s college-based spinoff of “The Boys” returns Sept. 17 with the premiere of the first three episodes, available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. New episodes will follow weekly with the second season finale airing Wednesday, October 22.

Season 2 picks up where Season 4 of “The Boys” left off — with Homelander (Antony Starr) firmly established as America’s brutal new fascist dictator and pretty much everyone who opposes him, with the sole exception of Starlight (Erin Moriarty), shoved into gulags at best.

Gen V: Marie Moreau Joins The Resistance Against Homelander On First Season 2 Poster
Image
It looks like we might get a first look at some footage from the second season of Gen V this Saturday at Ccxp Mexico, as Prime Video has released the first official key art spotlighting Jaz Sinclair as blood-manipulating Supe, Marie Moreau.

In the season 1 finale, Marie and some of her classmates were rounded up by Homelander and his forces, and we saw the same thing happen to Hughie, Frenchie, Mm and Kimiko in the season 4 finale of The Boys. It seems interned Supes are going to form some kind of resistance to fight back against the leader of The Seven (best of luck).

Last year, we got the tragic news that 27-year-old Gen V star Chance Perdomo had passed away after a motorcycle accident. Perdomo had been a major part of The Boys spin-off series, and his character, Andre Anderson, was going to feature heavily in the second season.

‘Gen V’ Season 1: Polarity Might Be Overbearing, But He’s Still a Better Dad Than Homelander Could Ever Dream Of
Image
The Boys has explored Homelander’s complex psyche in its four seasons, especially through his connection with his son, Ryan. Homelander is despicable, but his actions toward his son particularly highlight his darker side, which is aggravated by his own daddy issues and upbringing.

On the other hand, the spin-off series Gen V included an equally complex father figure in Polarity. The first season explored the borderline toxic relationship between Polarity and his son, Andre. Despite the misguided nature of Polairty’s concern, he is still a much better father than Homelander, and here is why.

Gen V season 1 proved Polarity is a better dad than Homelander

The Boys introduced viewers to Homelander (Antony Starr), a near-maniacal superhero who was grown in a lab. As a result, he struggles with his identity, especially when he discovers he has a superpowered son, Ryan. However, Homelander ends up projecting his insecurities on Ryan,...

The Oscars ‘Messed Up’ by Excluding Shannen Doherty From In Memoriam, Says ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ Co-Star Jennie Garth
Image
The 2025 Oscars ignited controversy for leaving out actors such as Michelle Trachtenberg, Tony Todd and Olivia Hussey. “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Shannen Doherty was also omitted, which her co-star Jennie Garth called “messed up” when asked by TMZ to give her thoughts on the snub (via People). Garth added that “maybe” the Academy should apologize to Doherty’s family for the exclusion.

Garth and Doherty became teen icons together as stars of “Beverly Hills, 90210.” They were both series regulars for four seasons. Doherty exited the series before Season 5. Garth continued for all 10 seasons. They later reunited as their characters, Kelly Taylor and Brenda Walsh, for appearances on The CW’s “90210” reboot.

Doherty died in July 2024 after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. In June 2023, she said she had been receiving radiation for cancer that had spread to her brain. She became a popular podcast host in the years...

Tony Todd's Widow Blasts the Oscars for In Memoriam Segment Snubbing the Horror Icon
Image
The Academy Awards ceremony took place on Sunday night, and as with every year, the show featured an In Memoriam segment honoring some of the movie stars and creatives who've passed away since last year's show. Some keys were left out, with fans of horror legend Tony Todd disappointed not to see the actor included after his passing in November.

Per TMZ, Todd's family has since weighed in on the Candyman star's absence from the In Memoriam segment. The actor's widow, Fatima, said she was left feeling "angry" after the snub. She reportedly believes that there's a "racial element" that resulted in the omission, with the report noting that Fatima feels "people of color and women are often ignored as much as possible" with the Academy's In Memoriam tributes.
