Rebecca Minkoff Admits Pregnancy Prank On Rhony Was In Poor Taste
Image
The Real Housewives of New York City Season 15 has been catching flak lately for being unbearably boring. While the women on the show are amazing, beautiful, and successful, this doesn't necessarily translate to good reality TV.

Fans have found the cast members too guarded and hard to connect with this season, and viewers have also found the storylines to be a little dull. It only got worse when "friend" of the cast and Scientologist, Rebecca Minkoff, pulled a prank that went terribly wrong and was deemed the last straw for some fans. Is Rhony really that lackluster that producers had to film fake drama?

However, it's not just the fact that the show used a prank to try and get better ratings, but how Rebecca's joke wound up being extremely insensitive to the rest of the ladies of Rhony.

Seeking Haven For Mr. Rambo | 2024 Red Sea Intl. Film Festival Review

First Blood: Khaled Mansour’s Debut Follows A Man Ready To Fight For The Fate Of His Dog

In First Blood, John Rambo is a quiet and unassuming Vietnam war veteran who is pushed to take extreme measures when he’s bullied by a small town sheriff. Hassan (Essam Omar) is similarly provoked into action by an obnoxious landlord in Khaled Mansour’s tough yet compassionate feature debut Seeking Haven For Mr. Rambo, an intriguing study of different kinds of self-interested masculinity that curses its carriers to miss out on the world around them.

For months, Hassan and his mother (Samaa Ibrahim) have resisted eviction by their landlord Karem (Ahmed Bahaa), the almost cartoonishly villainous owner of the building.…...

Hounds - Amber Wilkinson - 19041
Kamal Lazraq
Some films take time to gather momentum, but there’s a sense of movement right from the off in Kamal Lazraq’s debut feature. He thrusts us into a dog fight where Hassan (Abdellatif Masstouri) is among those on the losing end, something you sense that he’s used to. That it’s not a fair fight is par for the course and an indicator of where this story is likely to lead as we begin to follow him, and this is merely the start of Lazraq’s propulsively enjoyable thriller.

The dog belongs to a local gang leader Dib (Abdellah Lebkiri) and its demise leaves him rabid for revenge. It’s meant to be “a small job” and, as Hassan co-opts in his son Issam (Ayoub Elaid) to help he tells him, “God willing it will help keep us afloat”. In fact, the pair of them are soon going...

World Athletics Championships: USA sets World Record in 4x400m mixed relay on day of firsts and falls (round-up)
Image
Budapest, Aug 20 (Ians) The United States won the mixed 4x400m relay at the World Athletics Championships here on Saturday night, improving their own world record to 3:08.80 after the Netherlands’ world indoor 400m record-holder Femke Bol fell three strides from the finish line, having appeared on the brink of anchoring her team to victory.

It was not the only dramatic moment on an eventful opening day of the competition.

It started with the greatest depth men’s 20km race walk in championship history, won by Spain’s Alvaro Martin and culminated in the sensational 4×400 mixed relay.

In between those, Ryan Crouser successfully defended his shot put title with a championship record of 23.51m, and Gudaf Tsegay led an Ethiopian sweep of the medals in the women’s 10,000m.

But falls from two prominent Dutch athletes -– first by Sifan Hassan in the 10,000m and then by Femke Bol in...
